Happy Chef Noodle Restaurant
This is arguably Sydney's best laksa and had been for over 20 years now, it's only rival was Chinese malay on the other side of the city but they had to move to Ashfield because of the new metro coming in, the actual laksa broth is so good. Just the right amount of coconut milk and oil, and shrimp paste, you get unlimited sauce to add on top, I usually get the tripe or spicy beef, which is always cooked so well! Fall off the bone type quality ! The price has gone up dramatically since I first started going there, it was about $11 when I first started and now it's $19 but that's the way Everything is these days. The best laksa in Australia.

Seafood noodle soup of Happy chef was my favorite food in Australia.Not anymore.. taste is not like it used to be and so dirty. Cannot believe they serve the food in the bowl like the photo..

Best Laksa in Sydney. The spice is well balanced with the creamy coconut flavour and the ingredients are always fresh. This place is a must if you’re looking for a good Laksa!!

Really disappointed to see all these photos and reviews of delicious looking laksa, only to be served a thin, watery soup with bland chicken. Doesn’t taste like they used any coconut milk. Hate to leave a bad review on small businesses but felt really ripped off.

Super good laksa with a really generous serving size. Well spiced with additional spices available. Love the laksa noodles and the pieces of chicken that are more generous than the second location. The fried tofu doesn’t taste as fresh as the location in market city however, the broth is just as nice and the service is faster here. Worth checking out despite it being more expensive here.

This restaurant is located in the food court on the 2nd floor of the SUSSEX shopping center and is a good place for a light meal. Seafood dumpling noodles are the best menu, and the taste of the soup is deep and rich. Personally, thin egg noodles taste better.

Though it is only a small shop in a mall, it delivers diverse noodle soups in a few different cuisines.Normally it will be a red flag for a shop offering too many types of dishes. But it is not the case for Happy Chef Noodle Restaurant. The soup is well balanced - both laksa base or clear soup base. Vegetables are fresh and crunchy. Beef is really tender. Pork organs are on point and no bad smell.I revisited the place after two years but the deliciousness is still consistent. We will definitely come back next Sydney trip!

Nice restaurant that makes such a good Wonton in soup. The wait times is so small you could turn around and it would’ve done as they prepare them in bulk and in advance. Always worth grabbing some extra chilli for those but they are heaps flavourful on their own.

I found this place on google maps before my trip to Sydney, and decided that I would find my way here for lunch during my visit. I'm so glad I did, absolutely amazing noodle soup. This place is a must for noodle soup lovers!

Can't recommend enough! The Laksa was incredible! The broth was super delicious and the toppings were great. I'd probably just go for the char sui pork rather than the combination as this was the best. The Prawns were also very tasty and cooked to perfection.Also loved that you could add condiments to it at your leasure.Also very reasonable price - less than $20 for this very filling dish!Will definitely visit again!
