Capertee National Park
The park is relatively remote, so make sure to bring enough food for your stay! There is some beautiful scenery as shown in attached picture. A beautiful spot to have lunch or read a book! Just for those who want to stay connected to the outside world, reception is almost none existent. And make sure to get the gate code, as the park is locked by a gate.

Driving through extraordinary like driving through land time forgot. Road overall good but worse from end from Rylstone/ Kandos. Glen Davis road rough but when we visited the graders were there to grade unsealed sections.

Spring time is truly awesome in Capertree valley. There is a nice camp ground and home stead for those who like glamping. The walk to the valley view is easy 4 km one way walk. Highly recommend ed.

This is a 2.5 hours drive from Sydney and has great campsites by the Turon river accessible by 4wd.It has great 4wdriving tracks graded difficult so always travel with a group ready with repair and recovery gear. Lots of river crossings and hard wombat tracks.Enjoy the weekend within the part swimming and fishing or under the stars with camp fire. Take care during fire bans and all rubbish back with you.

The national park has so much potential for so many people to camp in seclusion. I hope that is the way they are heading. Well maintained area, one stop toilet which is very clean and new looking. Fantastic views!

Capertee National Park
A great stay if you like bird watching. Not a lot of development in park such as walking trails. A couple of drives to lookouts. Nice basic campground fireplaces and pit toilet. Fairly flat and some shade. Normally could walk along river but with abundant growth from recent rain it's a slog. Lovely valley to drive along to get there.

Drinking water in Capertee National Park"You'll need to bring your own water for drinking and cooking in Capertee National Park. Water supplied at Capertee Homestead and Capertee Cottage is untreated and only suitable for showering and washing dishes.Campers at Capertee and Policemans Point campgrounds should not use water from Capertee River for drinking or cooking."
