Fitness First Maroubra

Very poorly maintained gym. These are some of the broken bikes that have been sitting outside of the cycling class - for months without being repaired. Poor management

Great gym staff, location, parking. Equipment poorly maintained. Same ongoing issues with broken equipment worn out rubbers, cables bolts. Poorly maintained drink fountains. Change the filters decalcify the nozzles! Staff are great. All the ongoing issues coolant leaks from ceiling worn floors and other concerns are a top down problem from fitness first. Not the staffs fault. Fitness first should be auditing their gyms. These issues becoming a safety risk for members and cause over crowding.

In general fitnessfirst is way too expensive. They increased their pause membership prices( from $4 to $5) and they need 1 month notice on membership cancellation. Although their instructors for classes are amazing,I just dont think I'll keep the membership once I come back from my holiday.

Worst gym! Environment always disorganised, dirty, bathroom is stinky, employees are not helpful, they never know any information that you ask so they get your number and they never return, also most of them are very rude! Unregulated and old equipment, the layout its bad! Classes without fixed schedule change every month! Fortunately I finalised my plan and I never intend to return! Fitness First Maroubra is very disappointing ! To sell they are the best, biggest fake advertising! They just want your money!

Steam room always broken and dirty, other gym has swimming pool sauna and jacuzzi include on the membership, here just gym and steam room, equipment often broken, 5$ for a bottle of water also

Terribly dirty all the time. Staff are very arrogant barr 2 of them. Randwick FF is much cleaner and friendly staff by miles!

Too much yoga and Pilates class in the middle days,no received backpacks as promise after becoming a number more than half years. I would like change club when finished this agreements.

I have used this gym for a number of years but have been disappointed with the lack of maintenance and hours. The club was emailed with the concerns and never responded. Pics/evidence below.+Nice Staff /Trainers (and most fellow gym users).+Great location above Pacific Square with free 2 hour undercover parking+Most of the standard gym equipment that you would expect from Fitness First.-Condition of the club and some of the equipment: machines are occassionally stickered with out of order signs.-General Maintenance (or lackthereof)-Cleaning of mens showers as well as the water feature near the sinks have been issues.-Overcrowding at peak hours is also an issue, not specifcally the fault of the gym.+++I suggest relocation of the club within Maroubra to a larger site that is not impacted by strata/noise restrictions so that the club can have longer operating hours and more equipment to cater for everyone as there is a very strong demand for Fitness First in a growing local area.

This is now my local and there's a great community vibe here. It's not a fancy gym but has everything you need, plenty of space and the staff make you feel welcome (shout out to James, Murray, Rado and co). Peak times are early morning and evening but there's always space and equipment so you're not waiting too long between sets.
