Buy your vehicle from here with an open mind! We purchased a Troopy here and are in two minds about the honesty of the vehicle.First up I was told that the rust around the engine bay was caused by the red dirt from out west due to high iron content. Dan later admitted that the engine bay was pressure washed and no anti rust treatment was used. Hence slight rust on bare metal surfaces. Nothing to dramatic, but since this is the first time I purchased a vehicle from a dealership, it's not a great start in terms of trust. The aircon wasn't working as well as a few other items to get a blue slip for NSW, which Dan agreed on getting sorted. The aircon had a leak in the system and stopped working about 2 weeks after purchase. So my guess is, it's just been regased. We engaged a mobile mechanic to inspect the vehicle prior to purchase and he found a few things, which Dan got fixed.Even though Dan knew when the mechanic would do the check up, unfortunately no one was in the yard when the mechanic was doing his check up, so he couldn't test drive the vehicle as he had no dealer plates. Some of the rear lights were not working including the reverse lights and the brake discs in the rear where worn to the point that the brake pads would lock on to the discs. I have no idea how this vehicle passed a blue slip with these major issues. The gearbox apparently got new syncros, but it's now starting to crunch when shifting gears, especially 2nd and reverse. When we picked up the vehicle, we managed to drive down to the Kingscliff Services Center before we had to pull over as the car was running very badly and the waxy stench coming from the exhaust was clearly noticeable inside the vehicle. It turned out that there was dirt and water in the fuel tank. Again a major concern and not picked up by the guys. Dan agreed to get the injector pump redone at his expense as it was worn due to age and bad fuel according to several diesel mechanics. Worn by aged got a big question mark as the vehicle had only done 195.000ks when I purchased it.The final reason to leave this review was yesterday when I had a new stereo installed by a local guy and he pointed out that everything was covered in red dirt inside the dashboard, except for the dash cluster. The assumption is that someone has replaced the cluster, presumably with one that has lower kilometres on it. It would explain the wear in the fuel pump and the fact that the timing belt light not coming on at 200.000km.As a preparation for a holiday, I swapped over my bull bar with the winch from my 75 series ute, the bull bar on the Troopy had 5 out of 8 bolts, holding the old bull bar, snapped and glued in place with silicone. Now to be fair, I did agree to purchase a used vehicle and I do understand that it is not a show pony. This is fine as I use it for work the majority of the time. It just disappointing to spend a lot of cash on a vehicle and then find all these things Wong with it. It very much makes one doubt the honesty of people. Not saying that Dan did all this deliberate, but he certainly did not pick up on them or did a quick fix to make them appear to be working to make a dollar. To sum it up, get your vehicle inspected thoroughly prior to purchase and keep an open mind.

Bought a Landcruiser from CVA, had no issues the car is excellent. Great communication and service. Good to see a hard working family making an honest living out of buying and selling cars.

Not impressed with the quality of the troopy i purchased here. I highly suggest get a mechanic to go over the car you want to purchase before you make any decisions. If the car was in good order and didnt cost me extra thousands to fix this review would be great as they were hassle free and good to deal with
