I had heard about this place from a lot of my Filipino friends and I can see why they liked it. I took my mum here to celebrate her birthday and we absolutely loved it. We noticed it was really popular and when I asked my mum why she thought that was so she said it was because the place was authentically Filipino and that it put the food first. The food came out really quickly, like within 10 minutes, and was definitely the best Filipino I've tried in Canberra. delicious. Even my dad, who doesn't normally like 'exotic' food really enjoyed it.I highly recommend anything with ube on the menu for a unique, sweet taste; or the crispy bagnet for a rich, meaty flavour with a unique soy vinegar sauce. If you're planning to go on a weekend I'd also recommend booking a few days out to ensure you get the time you want.

Exceptional Filipino food. Quick service and amazing value with most dishes ~$18. Ube thickshake quite nice. Garlic rice was good though $4.Bagnet was very crispy but i found it a little dry and lacking seasoning even with the sauce. $20 was ok.Sinugbang Manok chicken was pretty tasty. An excellent rotisserise chicken with nicely charred skin but no specifically Filipino flavours, $19 is good.Lumpiang spring rolls were crispy and tasty with plenty of fillings. $18.50 for 10 is not bad.Sisig was my favourite. Aromatic and tender with a bit of gravy-like sauce which went well with rice. Definitely worth $19.50Pinoy ribs were tender and tasty. Reminded me of Cantonese char siu but not as sweet and more smokey. Pretty good though $25.Kare-kare had a thick sauce with pieces of beef and various vegetables. Not quite as aromatic not spicy as thai or Indian but a good contrast to the other dishes

First time trying Lolo and Lola and it was delicious! We ordered the kare kare, lumpia and bbq ribs to dine in and bilo bilo for takeaway (since they close early). Price point was reasonable, food was tasty, atmosphere was nice, a local institution - highly recommended!
