Boycott this dealer if you are wanting to do a trade-in!!!! I was all set to buy a Kia Cerato Sedan. All was good until it came to valuing my car for the trade-in. I own a Mercedes Benz 2004 CLK 320 in pristine showroom condition, crazy low mileage for its year and with full service history. I have health checks on the Benz 3 times a year, so the car is far better than showroom quality. The car salesperson is Michael Thompson (No relation) sat stone faced and unmoving when he offered me a paltry $5000 for a car that one of his colleagues expressed an interest himself in buying from me as I arrived at the dealership (hmmm...that sounds suspicious to me) There was no moving with Michael Thompson with the insulting figure he offered for my beautiful car, he was even rude enough to say that I was off the mark in my valuation of my car even though I never mentioned how much I wanted for my car at any time. At no time did I see this dealer show me the valuation process that other reputable dealers are happy to do with you. I went to Mitsubishi in Shepparton and was offered $11,700 and would of upped it to $12,000 if I did the deal that day. Mazda offered me $ 11,100 and would off upped to $11,500 for same day deal. I took the chance of going to Kia Wangaratta looked at the Kia Cerato sport 2019 model BTW and was offered an unbelievable sum even better than Mitsubishi and Mazda. I wont say the exact value out of respect to the awesome dealer in Wangaratta. I pick up my new Cerato on Tuesday. I am extremely impressed with the Wangaratta Kia dealer. If you want a lovely car with amazing trade in deals go and see him....Avoid Kia Shepparton at all costs. Avoid Micheal Thompson he is all nice and smiles when selling the product, but all that changes as soon as money becomes a topic. BTW Shepparton......... at least have the common courtesy to offer your customers a tea/coffee/water as you offer nothing whatsoever, and that is poor quality customer serviceAvoid at all costs. Go to Wangaratta!!!!!

Worst experience I've had buying a new car!! If there wasn't a 6-month wait to get the vehicle I wanted, I wouldn't have given Thompson Kia my business.I rang up Thompson Kia ready to buy a Seltos on the spot. As they were in high demand, I knew most dealerships couldn't offer any price discounts. When I spoke to Dave (the sales manager), I asked him if he was able to include mats seeing prices were firm. He wasn't able to, which I totally understood and had no issue with. However, he then went on to tell me (in a very arrogant and abrupt manner) that he was 'doing me a favour' by selling me the car and was 'allowing me to buy it' from him - thanks for letting me give you over $30,000 - what a favour!! Following that, he said that the driveway price online was for the car only and that he was going to charge me for licence plates, which were supposed to be included along with rego, etc.I was shocked that a sales manager would be so arrogant when dealing with such a large purchase. Dave is the only sales manager I've dealt with that talked himself out of a new car sale in less than a minute! If another sales rep hadn't called me back and been way better to deal with, I would've gone elsewhere.I get that cars are in high demand and are selling themselves at the moment because of COVID shortages, but the bubble will burst. So, it's shortsighted to have poor customer service just because cars are selling easily. At the end of the day, your reputation precedes you.

Rang to speak to someone about buying a Kia Sportage. Whoever answered the phone put me on and off hold 5 times. I figured if you can't organise a phone call you can't sell me a car.
