Local Weir was flowing a couple months ago. First time in a long time .Beautiful to see and the sound was amazing.

Great free camp with clean toilets and water tap. Lots of campers there but there is a lot of space so people spread out. Lots of places to camp along the edges. Drive to town was easy and also a walking trail about 4km along the river to town. It was quiet at night and felt safe. You could hear the road trains on the highway late at night. There are sprinklers in the green grass park are near the toilets that clicked on at 12:45am so it was a wet night for a tent. Next night I just stayed further down the way in the middle open area which worked well. Up early with the hot sun.

Great place to stop on a trip, easy parking options and the grounds are large enough that no one gets in the way of each other.Toilet block on site are clean

Great free camp by the river. Didn't get in until 4pm but managed to find a nice spot. Clean amenities and nice grassy area with picnic tables. Cool skate park in town.

Great place to camp on the weir, plenty of room, so quiet & peaceful toilets clean, can fill up with water, short drive to town

Nice place to camp. We got an awesome spot on the river. No yabbies. Caught some carp and small native fish. Quiet. Plenty of campers but easy to get a spot to camp.

Great place to stop and relax, plus explore Mitchell. Really recommend the Great Artesian Spa, very relaxing. Water, bins and toilets on site. Huge areas for camping, always plenty of room.

Was a great place for an overnight stay, clean toilets, water and heaps of shaded spots, quite ( couldn’t here passing trucks). Would definitely stay here again.
