I’m a 17 year old guy with long black naturally curly hair.Found the place from the good reviews. Been there 3 times, first cut wasn’t bad, it wasn’t exactly what i wanted but it worked.Went back for another cut to see if another hairdresser could do a better job, they did an absolute horrid job, what i got vs what i showed was almost completely different and way shorter than what i wanted, the hairdresser styled it with gel to make it look good and unnoticeable and told me to give it a few weeks to grow out, i said okay and went on my way. After washing my hair, I discovered the whole cut was uneven, one side was substantially longer than the other one and not to mention it was cut as a side part rather than a middle part which is what i asked for, it seemed as though the hairdresser just chopped away at it.I called them back the next day and the boss was nice enough to give me a free “fix up” and to let it grow out then come back.This is when it gets even worse. I went back in a couple months later, the owner sat me down, didn’t even acknowledge that my hair was uneven, I showed him photos of what I wanted which was clearly a style for long hair and saying that i wanted to keep my length but he kept saying that if i got that style, he would have to go shorter (he wouldn’t) I trusted that what he was gonna do was right as he was the boss.Once again, what I received was even more different to what I asked for the second time. this cut was terrible, worse than anything I’ve had before. It was so short and still uneven. I had to ask him multiple times to check the length to make sure that they were the same on both sides but he somehow still didnt get it. My mum was there with me, she was almost in tears.Throughout the cut, he was literally chopping up random spots with his scissors and he kept defending himself for cutting it short by telling me how much better it looked and how lighter it was.When he finished, he said to me as my mum was walking over that “I’m sure your mum wanted it short”, she disagreed and said that I wanted it long like we clearly said in the beginning. He then went “are you serious?” then put his hands on his face and said “oh no” like he didn’t know I wanted to keep it long. That was what was sending me over the edge, he still didn’t apologise or acknowledge that the cut was atrocious. Both me and my mum agreed that it was nothing like the photo.I am very disappointed that such a well-known and well talked about salon could be this bad. We will not be coming back or recommending it to anyone.

The whole team at Rokk Ebony is very professional - Megan has been doing my hair for many, many years and I highly recommend her for any service! My hair always looks impeccable when I leave this salon!

Steve is great! he cuts your hair keeping in mind what suits you and does such an attentive and great job. The staff are lovely and ensure you are comfortable and looked after.Keep up the good job! ⭐️

I went to see Steve to fix a botched up haircut from elsewhere. Although Steve was limited in what he could do to fix the bad cut he did a great job and huge improvement, now I don’t have to wear a hat for the next 6 months!!

Ash is a Colour Magician. She did exactly what I wanted. She got me. I appreciate her skills. She got me and the result was fabulous. I feel beautiful. Thank you so much Ash
