Mount Beerwah
This mountain is a magical place that started my life long love affair with climbing. If you come to the area it’s an absolute must do. There are many routes up the mountain and treasures to find along the way. You’ll also find the mountain has a cult following of regular climbers, who are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. If unsure, go with someone who has climbed before and don’t go when drunk or anything silly. This is Mother Nature at her awesome best, not to be trifled with.

Amazing view and climb.Be careful in rain as it gets slippery and high risk of falling rocks.

Energetic climb with lots of foot and hand holds, not for someone with fear of heights. Take the right shoes and a buddy to spot you. Great view at the top. Take 2 litres of water and some snacks.Try the Goat Track to left of the main entrance if you have problem getting up the first wall at the no waiting area.Probably a good idea to go with someone who know where they are going although you’ll probably find plenty of people happy to help.

Two days ago I went to Mt Beerwah with three friends. That day was a milestone in my life. I can’t believe I conquered this mountain, so difficult. When I was climbing the first part, it was so scary I almost gave up, but my friends they didn’t seem to give up. After I overcame some obstacles, I felt comfortable with climbing gradually, and gained some confidence, and slightly getting excited for this challenging hike. This is a unforgettable day in my life!

If you enjoyed climbing MT Tibrogargan, MT Beerwah is another one with similar climbing expierence. First part of the climb is hardest. Really good views from the top. Take your time and you will reach the top. Never settle, keep climbing!!!

Beerwah is definitely not recommended for beginners. The path to the summit is not a long ascending path like a normal hike, instead it is divided into multiple section. The hardest section requires you to climb steep rocks (which probably covers 50% or more of the climb). While climbing up might not be that challenging, going down the mountain can be the hardest part. I've seen several people almost died because of the careless mistakes / inexperienced in climbing down (it can get slippery). While it sounds very dangerous. The view from the summit is very rewarding. It is not recommended to climb this mountain in summer mid-day, as the rock gets hot and you can get mild burn while you're trying to climb it. Also, make sure you bring enough water and foods as it can get tiring trying to climb this.

loved every minute. Our time frame was tight before an incoming storm, though made for some epic photos. It was too unsafe to climb down during the storm as there's a big steep rock climb at the bottom with water streams (which makes it really dangerous and impossible without rope), and the possibility of rock falls, so we had to wait it out in a volcanic ash filled cave, which was completely worth it!A beautiful way to spend new years eve, though i highly recommend not to attempt it during or after a storm.

Not for the faint hearted. Lots of people turning away at the first rock face. I do not blame them, I wish I had it in me to want to turn around too! When the sun is out, the rock is burning hot.Total up was 2 hours30 mins at the topLess than 1 hour bum sliding down with hot handsGo with someone who has been before
