They have the best omurice in north Sydney. The service is great. But if you go during busy hours, the wait is long.

A much welcomed new find for fresh and modern Japanese cuisine! Friendly and efficient service coupled with good quality sashimi platter, fresh crunchy soft shell crab roll, delicate black cod and tasty eel omelette fried rice! We hope to be back again soon!

They serve really good Pork Katsu Omurice - crispy coating with tender and juice pork fillet. Yummy! The portion and price are pretty decent too.The assorted sashimi platter is more on the pricey side compared to other restaurants but most importantly they are fresh.Pretty impressed with the quality of the food and friendly staff given that there are not many nice restaurants in St Leonard’s.

A rather disappointing dining experience for a place rated 4.5 stars with nearly 300 reviews. We got the 2 person banquet for 2 people priced at $65 each.Short summary: Suntory Black is good. Food is lackluster.Starters: Why are you serving these on those miniature shopping trolleys? Do I need to be reminded of walking through the fruit and vege section at Coles while I eat a relatively expensive meal? Luckily you can't screw up edadame beans. The soft shell crab was fried well but nothing special.Miso soup: Nothing much to say here. Why is the tofu all smashed to pieces?Sashimi + Sushi: kingfish and scallop was fresh. Other fish was not. Disappointed.Mains:Pork Chop had good flavour and was tender. Probably the best dish of the night. Portion was small, maybe include some rice? We had to ask for some separately.Wagyu Steak was a good portion size and was cooked well. Not sure what happened to the flavour of the steak though, didn't have much beef flavour and did you forget that salt exists?Dessert: chose green tea and black sesame ice cream. Got green tea and what seemed to be the result of 1 scoop of black sesame ice cream mixed with 99 scoops of vanilla which was then portioned to us.

Great atmosphere and food was pretty good with decent portion. The best dish was Eel Omellete. There was a bit of waiting time from one dish to another, especially for the assorted tempura, it came very last with a huge gap from previous dish. The service definitely could be improved, but overall it was a nice experience.

Fantastic service and food we got the 2 person banquet $65 a person and it was well worth the price.Food was fresh and extremely tasty with great presentation. And they even got the rare level correct on the waygu.Service with a smile and on the ball.Thank you for an excellent dining experience, will be eating here again when I am next in Sydney.

Food serve was smaller than expected.( 2 person banquet , 65 pp ). 4 pcs nigiri sushi and 7 pcs of sashimi to share between two persons and this one plate counted as two courses. A piece of half soft shell crab each. Main dish pork chop was tiny. We ordered a bowl of rice to avoid going home hungry. I'll call it tasting menu" instead of Banquet. No better value for banquet set menu. Except for this

I loved every bite. The quality was superb and the quantity was satisfying and fair for the cost. The hospitality couldn't have been better.
