Hunter Valley Motel

I have stayed here many times. I plan to stay more times in the near future. Staff are always friendly. Rooms are always clean

I had a fantastic experience at Hunter Valley Motel in Cessnock. The room was comfortable, and the amenities provided were excellent. The motel's location was convenient for exploring the Hunter Valley, and the staff was knowledgeable about the area, providing great recommendations for wineries and activities. The motel also had a lovely garden where I could relax and unwind after a day of exploring. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to the region.

We had bed bugs in both beds. Luckily my wife was more paranoid and did thorough checks where we found bed bugs in both beds. Some really big and puffed up from all the blood they have already eaten of our daughter :( Bed bugs made for a very unpleasant and restless stay. In speaking with motel, they seem very blasé when I asked them next day to take proper actions and ensure the bed bugs are eradicated from the room. I have no confidence they would do the right thing, hence this is a warning to anyone staying here to not get room 11.They changed our room but not other compensation offered.Some photos to show you the dead bed bugs and the red/brown is the blood that squished out of then. Room key to show the size of some of them. We're going to take everything home and straight to the washing machine in hopes none come home with us.UPDATE TO HOTELS RESPONSE: regarding the broken bed. You are actually one falsely accusing us!! The bed broke when my wife sat on it when we first got in the room. Didnt jump on it or anything so I don't understand why we should be paying for damage. Also, we reported this immediately to reception and my wife actually received an apology about this. We advised we didn't need to use that bed and hence why we didn't need it to be fixed right away.I did mention that you have provided us with another room, At midnight having to move all our stuff including port-a-cot and two sleeping kids was not a pleasant experience. And still didn't alleviate worry of possible bed bugs in this new room.I do sincerely hope you seek professional pest control help. I hear bed bugs are hard to get rid of.

Good budget motel to stay for 1 or 2 days in Hunter Valley visit. The main attraction is cheap price and tidy stay near the hunter garden and zoo. Though the room was old, it is maintained well. It's quite neat and clean, with all needs met.
