Richardsons Beach
It is a lovely little beach. We went there to see the sunset with a bit of mountain in the background. The place is clean and tidy. It is a nice place to spend the afternoon with love ones. We didn't do much water activities because of the cold weather. We just stayed there for some fresh ocean freeze.

Beach itself is nothing special, but the view across to The Hazards (the line of mountains) is exceptional. Might have preferred this view to the crowded one up at Wineglass Bay lookout even! Easy, flat 10 minute return walk from beach lookout to the main visitor centre along a path. Nice alternative for those not confident in making the wineglass bay lookout hike (which is much longer and steeper).

Richardsons Beach
Perhaps my favourite beach in all of Tasmania. It may not have the perfection and stature as Wineglass Bay but to me Richardsons is a more down to earth adventure. I loved strolling along the sand to the foot of the Hazards each evening and listening to the waves quietly lap against the shore. It’s always so peaceful here and great for swimming. Close to the main Coles Bay Area too.

Quiet and easy going site with power and clean amenities. 30 second walk down to beach from parking. Beautiful mountain views, safe location and a two minute drive from Freycinet visitor centre. $16/night for two people.

Fantastic, laid-back, family and friends camping experience here. No shortage of things to do. Excellent facilities. Book early, like real early.
