Their platter is to die for. Been here twice, and came back the second time specially for the platter! Generous servings, and the croquettes and arancini balls were perfectly done, beautifully crisp on the outside and smooth, creamy and flavourful inside. The ham! Not too salty and just full of porky goodness. The blue cheese is delicious hunk of funky goodness that we enjoyed smearing on fresh, fluffy foccacia (with the toasted ends that we all loved). The salad and relishes - well dressed and a symphony of sweet salty and tart, they held their own against the meat. Hell yes to the salmon, rilette and terrine! Perfectly balanced platter (and it changes subtly each time you visit). We topped it up with an additional serve of croquettes and a serve of meatballs. Oh the meatballs were morsels of mouthfeel perfection - one of the best minced textures I've had in a long time with the right amount of meaty chew! Service was friendly, they have a beautiful outdoor area and they clearly take pride in the food and wine they serve (also great wines here btw - the UBF is just so interesting!) Definitely worth a drive for an overall delightful food experience!

Thanks to table server, Leonie, our day for adventure paid off handsomely! First, an exotic and filling platter for two, teamed with crisp white wines, barista coffees AND a personalized mudmap for the scenic route home! WHAT A GREAT DAY......in the atmospheric Pyrenees!

Just had the most enjoyable lunch today at Blue Pyrenees Winery .Linda the cellar door manager is friendly, knowledgeable and makes the best platters.Sitting outside , under the verandah, listening to the cicadas, looking at the gum trees and blue sky together with the the delicious, generous platter and lovely wines , great desserts and coffee made for a great day. It’s your choice to dine outside, or inside in air conditioned comfort.From bubbles, reds, rose’, and whites Blue Pyrenees Wines and Cellar Door Platters are the best.Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been.

I am most impressed by Blue Pyrenees Estate. Recently, as a wine club member, I was hand-delivered a pack of old vintage wines in recognition of my birthday. This was a wonderful surprise. Highly recommended for its quality wines and personable service.

Well this is not your usual winery where they only serve wine and pizza.I was blown away that it was different. Pity it’s so far away but if whoever is reading this, it’s a great place to have lunch and try the local produce. But, YOU MUST BOOK IN ADVANCE.

Awful experience at the winery today, the male attendant running the wine tastings offered ZERO explanation of any of the wines, no order or method to the tasting and had an unfriendly poor attitude in general. Despite many tables and plentiful space they were only capable of doing three tastings at a time! There was an hour wait on food and despite advertising a cheese or food platter to accompany a wine tasting they were unable to offer this service! Wont be recommending or coming back!

The wine and the food are exceptional. Whether you are a red, white or sparkling fan. It's all very very good.The share platter for two is always great and changes with the season.The staff are friendly and welcoming.Enjoy a day out in the Avoca area.
