Don't sign up to Urban Rec. They are running a netball comp with only one umpire instead of the required two - cost cutting? Last week they cancelled our game less than 2 hours before it ran - their event host" (that's what they call their singular umpire) hadn't shown up so the entire night of sport for every team was cancelled. This wouldn't happen if they hired two umpires like all other social netball nights in the state. Tonight

I joined after moving to the area and its been a great way to meet people through sports. The comp was perfect mix of social and fun with low intensity. The organisation organises pub nights whcih has been great for getting to know your teammates and the other teams.
