This place has lost its polish and meals are plain to what it used to be when we visited at Christmas time. Understand costs have risen but the markup on basic food is a bit pretentious. End cuts and scraps for the roast chicken pretty sad. Huge plates dont justify the actual food portions. Bar staff professional and welcoming though.

Booked 2 one night stays on my way to and from Queensland based on what they advertised. If you advertise fox sports in every room then you should have it. I love sports and really wanted to watch the footy while relaxing. I was told it was in the rooms by the manager and he didn’t know it wasn’t. The rooms are as expected for the price but when you can hear everything in the adjoining rooms there’s not much privacy. Plus people banging doors and toilet seats while you’re trying to sleep really isn’t helpful. Also getting a fisherman’s plate for dinner you would expect a place on the coast would have fresh seafood not frozen stuff. I’ll find somewhere else to stay on my next trip, even if I have to pay a bit more.

Please if you advertise that Seniors discount is available on lunches... which it was, on the menu, on the wall..please honour it. Group coming for lunch, first ones went in to order and were refused discount as 'we stopped that a few weeks ago'. Not good enough.

Maybe if the barmaid actually served us instead of only people she knew (that came to the bar after us) we would have had nice things to say. As it is, really unimpressed with the lack of service, or even acknowledging we were standing there, on a quiet Wednesday afternoon, so we left.Update.. email sent and no response..

We stayed earlier and we stayed again here in Laurieton hotel. Both times the experience was good. Rooms were clean and big for a family of 3. The beds were comfortable and the location was perfect for this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to stay if you are looking for a good place to stay at a reasonable price, where coles, pub and restaurants are near the hotel.

Vegan options,nil. There is scope for more vegan options if they offered.Vegetarian option quite a few.Service quick . Not sofriendly but not rude, business like.Nice atmosphere. Pool tables big screen TV.Being vegan probably won't be back.

The food and service are both excellent, I had the bbq pork ribs down at the restaurant which ended up being very appetising and flavourful. Even being one of the later customers throughout the night, I was still able to find a nice table and the food came down right away. However I did have a rather dirty menu which was both greasy and had crumbs inside.

We had the midday lunchtime menu and a beer in the beer garden and it was great, would have given 5 stars except.. it’s not dog friendly even in the beer garden. Management needs to get with the times, otherwise people like us will just go elsewhere.

We came for dinner with our friends the meals were ok but there were a few birthday parties and it was pretty hard to talk to one another. Later in the evening we decided to move inside and enjoyed each other's company. The staff was very helpful.
