Love the history on display. Great information on the Battle of the Coral Sea. Interesting if you love war history but also a great view of Maggie, the harbour and the Strand.

Kissing Point Fortification
Two ways to climb that point, stairs and rough terrain, its fun and adventurous, photogenic beauty, history engraved all over the place, nice place for bike riding and climbing through stairs. Dog friendly place, kids friendly, little risky shore with crabs in it. Rest everything was fine.

Absolutely the place to visit when visiting yeppoon. Tugs on the heart strings. Lest we forget. Memories abound for the old but not so much for the young but a way to fill in those blanks. This is how it was in 1940’s. Spend the time and have a good look around. Cheers big ears

Awesome place, especially during sundown it is really romantic. You have a really great view over the sea to magnetic island and the hills on the mainland. In addition the monuments and flowers there are also nice.

A wonderful and well maintained monument to the bravery and sacrifice made by all during all wars Australia has been involved in since federation. Definately worth a look.

Great views. Really nice place just to sit and think or not think at all.Unfortunately the gardens have been left a little un kept which is very unusual. It normally looks really good.
