Small but nice. If you're lucky you might be able to catch a glimpse of ships from Antarctica docked at the port nearby.

Devilishly bad politics, how are both major parties pro-logging. Not the case elsewhere, enormously outdated Forestry Practice Act 1985. How can environmentalists somehow be the bad guy in this state, pathetic and bizarre.

Don’t think this gorgeous building and gardens should be put down for its political background, politicians can’t keep everyone happy but a beautiful old building can!

Tasmania's Parliament House sits on the waterfront of Hobart. Originally built of the new colony's Customs House, it was converted into the houses of parliament in 1856. Obviously this building houses the House of Assembly and The Legislative Council. If you have the opportunity to be offered a tour, there is a wonderful little museum in the basement of the building with snippets of the buildings past. The main Reception Hall has been beautifully restored in recent years, and this is the the room you're most likely to attend if you visit.

Incredible tour from Charles - highly recommend for any tourist seeking to understand this chapter of the state’s history(Free tours were operating at 9:30 and 2:30 on no -sitting days at the time of this review)

Beautiful building and lawns. Does get spoiled when protestors try to take over and make some lame attempt to appeal to our pollies. Normally left wing and tree huggers who dont appreciate what is to work hard, make a living. They like stopping people working like our forestry workers.

Unreal - loved it. We were so lucky to get Rosie as our tour guide, who really brought the building alive! And her recommendations for “must do” activities in Hobart (scrawled on a piece of paper) became our inadvertent schedule for three days! Legend, thank you!

I got busted trying to score some twelvers and had to report to some guy in the councils office. He hooked me up better after I told him that I was in the market. Gotta love these offis.
