An amazing place to visit, full of interesting farm machines from days gone by and many other things to see

Very interesting museum, run by local volunteers. A lot of effort clearly goes into collecting items related to settlers' history in the region. That includes a room dedicated to the Maralinga nuclear tests. My only criticism would be the lack of Aboriginal artefacts (I only found a few in a shed's corner). Well worth a visit.

It is one of the best rural museums we ever visited. I believe that the staff and volunteers deserve a big pat on the back for their dedication. The museum is a must for anyone visiting Ceduna or nearby areas.10 out of 10!

More than you think, not only the building at the front but shed after shed full of old machinery and collections of all sorts of memorabilia are waiting for you out the back, you will need a good hour to go through it all, well worth the visit.

YOU MUST VISIT THIS MUSEUM. I can not convey well enough the collection that has been brought together here! It is something to be truly proud of and Alan - the only one on board the day we visited is truly an inspiration- gathering pieces from all over the area. The museum covers 2.5acres and you could use up many hours to see it all- only $4 an adult (give them more)!THEY DESPERATELY need volunteers so if your ANYONE in CEDUNA who is retired - PUSH them to go along and volunteer- even a couple of hours a week! We are so pleased we took the time to go and have a look!

Ceduna School Museum built in 1912 also the first post office, the first gaol. The Ceduna School House museum also has a collection including aboriginal artefacts and those related to Maralinga Village where British Nuclear tests were carried out between 1956 and 1963.Other buildings within the complex include the Denial Bay Gaol, large machinery sheds, a blacksmith’s shop, a church, and a cottage.Other items on display include a large collection of household items and restored farm machinery of all types used by the local pioneering families of the past, a room containing a large array of medical equipment dedicated to the Bush Church Aid Society, a plaster cast of a 25-foot basking shark found at Fowlers Bay in 1914 and the skull and ribs of a Southern Right whale.

Located in town, minimal entrance fee but WOW......so much to look at and something for everyone. A two hour visit isn't long enough as the museum is jam packed with exhibits and oh so interesting if you want to see how things were done in years gone by. A must look and see that won't disappoint.
