What we all want is to walk out of a hair salon feeling happy with our hair and that’s what my experience was. I asked for a new colour and cut (I have short hair). Alex did the cut and I loved it immediately, very trendy, and one of the girls did the colour which also was exactly what I asked for. I’m now getting complimented all the time so I’ll be back because I don’t want to pay stupid prices to get my hair done and I want a good cut.

Wanted a hair cut, layers put back into my hair. She cut around the face and the very the top section of my head. Again explained I wanted layers cut in. Got shown hair product because my curly hair is very dry. Cut more only off the top section only. Waste of time unless you're into mullets

I’m not happy at all. I had Alex do my hair today and it was dreadful. I made him aware that I had surgery not that long ago, so my scalp will be sensitive. He pulled at my hair a lot and burnt my scalp with the bleach. I would also like to mention that I wanted a black root with grey on the rest. He then put another coat of bleach on my head which burnt even more, that I was in tears. We ended up having to change what I wanted because my scalp couldn’t handle a toner. I ended up with purple roots and grey ends, as they were not able to dye it black. A first year did the purple and it wasn’t blended, so now I have a purple line.When drying my hair the 2 girls pulled my hair so much that I ended up in tears again. I was then charged about $400, I was only quoted $250 at most, for hair that I hated and I walked away crying. They gave me the second bleach, for free and a free colour for next time, which I will not be using, as I can’t go through that againAll I wanted was a balayage, black to grey to blonde.My Mum also had her hair done and showed a photo of Salt and pepper. She too had her head burnt and could handle the toner and she went home $200 poorer and with grey hair.He also treated his stylists poorly, with one babysitting his kid for a while. They also never smiled

Don’t bother wasting your time with these very unprofessional hairdressers. I had colour and cut there not so long ago. I had two girls applying tint to my hair, one was a hairdresser and the other was a volunteer with no experience. At the basin, the same girls washed my hair and failed to rinse it properly. Then both girls dried my hair and my heads feeling tugged in every direction as if placed in the tumble dryer. The chief hairdresser cut and snipped at my hair, rushed the cut at supersonic speed and in less than 5 min I was done and at the counter paying him. My haircut isn’t cut right.Unprofessional, no customer care and attention to detail. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Never going back there again.

The woman who cut my hair cut an uneven front fringe, poor layers and didn't even check that the lengths were the same on each side, which they weren't. She also didn't ask if i was happy with the results, she just took off the cape and walked away.I explained what i wanted in detail and showed 5 example photos and she didn't even think to blend the fringe into the rest of my hair until she had already cut too much. Getting it fixed up tomorrow, but unfortunately she took too much length off even though i expressed i was growing it out.Definitely not worth $45, i am suspicious that she overcharged me on purpose too, as she whispered to the employee who took the payment and the price does not seem to align with the rest of their prices, but maybe a fringe and refreshing layers is usually $45, i don't know, their starting price for a haircut is $25 so it was more than i expected.I asked how long she has been hairdressing and she said on and off because her dad is a hairdresser, but hasn't been in the field for four years. And i do suspect she is under qualified because she seemed very inexperienced and unknowledgable about what she was doing. I suspect a nepotism situation.Extremely disappointed that a hairdresser who does not even seem to be properly trained and certainly does not care whether clients are satisfied is allowed to cut hair.

Worst Experience of my life.Had a hair colour, burned my head twice when washing it. Claimed to do roots first then put the rest on the rest of my hair and wait 10 minutes. BURNED twice with the hot water, refused to thin out my hair, cut more then asked the wanted to charge $70 to run a straightener through it. This was supposed to be my mothers day gift. I walked out after just throwing my hair in a bun. 2 different girls did my hair very disappointed after not going to a hair dresser for 5 years.I live away from there so they can't even fixed what happened after knowing i was disappointed they asked my daughters if I was ok. Never again!!Drinking my sorrows now...

Went today to get my hair bleached and coloured. Unfortunately my hair wasn’t able to lighten up enough this session to achieve the full vibrant blue, but the amazing Alex was able to organise that I come back in a weeks time to get the darker parts fixed up free of charge, as well as styling it with curls in the meantime :) The girls were all well presented and absolutely lovely.UPDATE- So, I went in a week later as asked. I came back and the attitude of the staff was still lovely as always. However, unfortunately, I left the salon with my hair looking the exact same as I came in with (Vibrant blue in the front, green in the back.) The bleaching was not done carefully, as I ended up getting hit in the eye with a piece of bleached hair, which luckily didn’t cause any damage other than a stinging eye. The cut was uneven at the front, the right side noticeably shorter than the left but I didn’t realise this until I was home. I was told after blow drying to “come one more time and it’ll get fixed up”. I ended up getting bleach and fixing it myself at home. A little disappointed I paid $280 for something that didn’t give me my desired outcome. MAY I add, that during the original session, I was never “quoted” a price beforehand.I do still want to thank Alex and the girls for being so lovely the entire time and for allowing a free of charge session the second time round.

These guys are great!!I was a bit hesitant at first but the girls all made me feel welcome and exceeded my expectations in fixing my hair. Michelle gave me good, honest advice on what I should do to go blonder and I was very happy with the results.I recommend this place as the prices are decent for the service you get and I didn’t have to wait a week to get my hair fixed. The walk in option is definitely a plus.Keep up the good work Hair Colosseum!! I’ll be back.

I was so happy when I got accepted on the spot for a full head of foils! Nowhere else that I know of takes walk ins for hair services like that! I got seen to really quick, the chief hairdresser did my foils very efficiently, didn’t take ages like it does at some salons. The price was less than HALF what I normally pay. Amazing. I think I found my new hair salon!!!

I try not to give bad reviews, but I have to this time. I'm giving a 2 because I'm hoping not all the staff there are like the one I got, otherwise it would have been 0. She was rude, blunt and took, at the most, 3 minutes to trim my hair. It was also painful and I mean literally, because she was so rough, even when doing the cutting. It then cost me $35 for the worst cut I have ever had. She was also rude to other customers in there. You couldn't pay me to go back, not even to get the cut fixed.
