The EC has been one of my favourite places for years. But their prices (especially pints) are out of hand. We'll probably start frequenting other places from now on until things change.

I've been to the Edinburgh Castle Hotel a few times now, and every time, they are delightful. With delicious food, quick and friendly service, and a casual atmosphere suitable for kids and adults alike, it's a place for the whole family.

Been regulars for several years now, and even though the food was hit and miss, we did manage to go back. Unfortunately, had the worst pub meals perceivable tonight, so it's finally goodbye. Steak and Ale pie: could get better at a service station, crust was inedible and filling extremely dry Fish and chips: where's the fish, uncooked and inedible batter.

Went for drinks and a meal. I had the Surf n Turf Schnitzel Special and it was one of the best Schnitzels I have ever had, and I've had a few! Succulent chicken fillet topped with prawn and scallop mornay sauce. Delicious!

Such a great place to go either with family or friends! Love that it is petfriendly and that the environment is so chill with lots of options of places to sit! The food is also good, I tried the pumpkin pizza and loved it, it was delicious!! Really recommend this pub!

Really expensive, they charge for everything, surcharge for the week end, a card processing fee, then if you order a second beer that is exactly the same as the previous one, they charge a different price, 2 dollar more, this is the last time I go here.Be more realistic and professional guys!

The bar hostess are very friendly & great service. Limited choice of lagers / pilsners. Great ambiance all round. Maybe a good clean of the table tops would make a difference. It was a bit sticky where I sat.

Very old (1846!!) tavern. Charming and “rustic,” but fun place. There was no real table service since it was all to be done by scanning on the phone, which was problematic when we needed to ask a question and make a special order. “Notify your server” was a problem since that was difficult to do. When we finally found someone, they were very helpful, but it was very frustrating. The food (kangaroo steak) was good and it was a great experience overall!
