Vern Ryan's Pet Resort

My 2 cats were looked after and attended to so well.I received regular photos and videos to show me how very happy they were and how much fun they were having. This made their absence from home easier for me. It was a quiet time for my cat's stay, so I was very lucky to have received so many updates. Maybe during the busy times I couldn't for obvious reasons receive so many updates.How easy for me to have had them picked up and dropped off at home by Chelsea - so lovely.The whole journey from beginning to end was so easy.I would highly recommend Vern Ryan's Pet Resort to anyone who would like their precious pet/s looked after.

Highly recommend! Easy pickup and drop off service, dogs well looked after including medications for our diabetic boy. Photo updates during their stay are a nice touch and Bec is lovely and thorough which is much appreciated!

Professional outfit, never doubted it. Regular photo/video updates showed my dog having fun with his new friends. He was happy to see me on pickup, but also would have been happy to stay there longer, and was clearly comfortable with the handlers.

the team here are great with my dog. they also send photo updates on how she is doing, and its great to see her happy and playful. I feel confident when leaving my dog here that she will receive the best care. I would definitely recommend Vern Ryan’s to any dog or cat owner.

Don't leave your dog here!! Our boy, who loved to board when we lived interstate, was left here a couple or so years ago and he came back a wreck! I had to say something as I just remembered this place when thinking where to board my current dog, and wanted to warn people. I was told by the staff here that our dog was not let out for the paid runs (because he was too aggressive???!!!) and only was told this when I came to pick him up. I was recommended this place by the interstate boarding kennel (where he stayed for years, no issues!). He came here for 3 weeks, and suddenly is aggressive? No one called me for the entire 3 weeks he was there. NO ONE! I thought he was having a great time, and nothing to worry about. When I turned up, he was very skinny, in a dark cage, no sunlight. He developed kennel cough, was hungry and growling until he saw me approaching! Then he whimpered in my arms which brought tears to my eyes. I was told that he tried to bite the staff. Sadly, he died a few months later as his condition didn't recover and he was a nervous wreck to the end. I have no idea what happened there but it changed our dog's life forever.

We have boarded our silky Tassie at Vern Ryan's Pet Resort on numerous occasions and have been so happy with the service and care that our old boy recieves. He always comes back happy and we feel relieved that he is somewhere that he is being looked after properly. I would recommend extra playtime for your pets as it is a wonderful way for your dogs to socialise and be happy. Vern's is a great place to board your pets and we will continue to use them in the future.

Lexa, our dog stayed at Vern Ryan’s Pet Resort for just over three weeks. Our expectations were exceeded. All the staff were very friendly and it was obvious that they all loved animals. We received daily photos and videos. Lexa was very happy and relaxed when we picked her up. She will definitely be returning when we need to go away again.

Should have posted this a while ago when we let our dog board here, but i wont be using their services ever again. Our dog Floyd came back with a sprained tail, lips discoloured, underweight and very very quite and reserved for a week. Really unhappy with this service. Stay away

Very friendly, well priced and clearly take good care. My dog seemed hesitant to come home

Pretty disappointed. Sent our puppy there for his first holiday without us, naturally a dog being away from his owners for the first time you would expect them to be anxious. It didn't seem as if they were prepared. He become protective of his belongings (bed and blanket) and it seems they didn't have any way or knowledge of dealing with this situation so they just refuse to take him in the future. He's never shown any sign of aggression towards people so we can only assume it was the environment provided. The facilities seems nice but there were no other large dogs there at the same time for ours to play with. We will try rothwell
