Kelvin grove Tyres and mechanical

Having just moved to the area, we were looking for a great Mechanic, which I thought was going thought was going to be a long, painful and expensive process.Off the back of the previous reviews, we tried Kelvin Grove Tyres and Mechanical first. Wow, I can't say enough about how great this business is.I put an enquiry in online after hours when I got home from work. I wasn't expecting a response until the morning - it came through within about half an hour.They asked I give a call in the morning to book in for a scan to see what had triggered the warning light to come on.I called in the morning and they were able to book me in the next morning. By lunchtime, it was scanned and issue resolved.The level of customer service is second to none, they don't charge for the scan and only charge once they start working on the vehicle.The staff are friendly, professional and extremely helpful. One of the staff members was overdue for his lunch by an hour as his commitment to his work and customers came first. Doing heavy work on a hot day, that is commitment.We certainly won't take our car anywhere else and I will be highly recommending them to our family, colleagues and friends.Thank you so much Suraj, well done to you and your team. I don’t like leaving a bad review, especially for a small business. However I have considered the merit of this, and after contact with the owner, I feel this is fair. Long and short of it is this: the bumper of my vehicle was scratched during a safety inspection. I gave this business the opportunity to respond favourably prior to writing this review in addition to nearly four weeks after my initial and then subsequent final emails (it’s important to maintain written records so I was a little concerned when one of their emails asked me to call and talk to them if I had any further concerns). It took them two emails from me for them to initially respond. I advised them that my vehicle they inspected on a Wednesday had been driven directly home and not used until the Saturday at which point, when I went to clean it, I noticed the mark/scratch you’ll see in the pictures. Their driveway and entrance to premises is steep, so I can understand something happening when they moved my car. They assert a scratch like in my pictures couldn’t have possibly happened at their premises. I am sure any damage wouldn’t not have been intentional, still the damage has occurred. Never the less it is a case of my word against theirs, a fact of which I’m painfully aware. (For context I was engaged in a job that utilised an alternate vehicle so mine had not been used after that inspection - it had also been recently considered for trade in on another purchase and as such had been inspected for valuations and no scratches except for marks on the two left hand side rims noted) Having no further recourse available to me I encourage you, if you do take your car here for whatever reason, take photos of it before leaving it with them. It’s sad that we almost need to walk around with a GoPro recording everything for situations like this.

They did a high-quality job fixing my pierced tyre. It was a last minute urgent request, and I'm so grateful that they were able to find the time to fix it asap. 5 stars.

Grt job and amazing service done my car. The staff is extremely friendly and prices are absolutely firm, being a student it’s a great deal for me. Especially the owner of the shop he is kind and helpful all the time.

Super professional and fair-priced mechanic with excellent service. I have been coming here for 2 years and their work is always impeccable. Everything is done exactly how I request it and a lot of flexibility is offered to suit my budget. I really doubt you can find a better mechanic in Brisbane. Thank you!

Awesome service. The staff is very well experienced, polite and time efficient . My car had multiple issues, All were fixed by them in one visit. Other time, got my tyres fitted by them and was given the best price when compared to other places i asked. Definitely recommend them. Genuine and best at what they do.

Originally went here as it was the closest mechanic but kept coming back after moving to another suburb for the good value service. The team here are always helpful and friendly, I really appreciate being given upfront pricing options before collecting the car. Very helpful, prompt and transparent, would definitely recommend as a reliable mechanic.

These guys do an awesome job, my car has never run so smoothly! Fixed mulitple issues in one visit. Friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic prices. Definitely my new go-to mechanic.
