Went there last Friday night (11/09/20) to watch the footy and have a counter meal and a beer or two with some mates. TV is small, 4 counter meals were all excellent. Swan Draft on tap, can't beat it. Staff were fantastic. Genuine Art Deco old school pub, including original freezers and bars. Historic photos in the hallway are worth a look. Cool beer garden. Best bottle shop in town. Worth a visit.Edit: Been here a couple of times in the last 12 month, always good. The last time was Friday 17/09/21. The menu has shunken a bit but the food is still excellent and good value. The locals in this pub are your typical casual and friendly country people and the staff are fantastic. A really good advertisement for Beverley.Update. 8/4/22: Dropped in on Friday night for a few beers and a feed. This is my favourite pub in town as far as atmosphere is concerned so it was very disappointing to find that the standard of the food had dropped significantly. The Bangers and Mash and Chips and Gravy were about the only food that was still up to standard. The person who had the Chicken Curry said that it was the worst that they had ever had, really dry. The Salt and Pepper Squid cosisted of about 8 small pieces of packet squid and the Steak Sandwich was average. To be fair there was something on at the Footy club, so town was like a ghost town and I think we were the last ones there. When we were walking home I noticed that the other pub had shut early. It is not very helpful for visitors when the town is shut early on a Friday night. It was nice to see that they are in the process of renovating but they need to lift their game as there is a fair bit of competition in town. Unfortunately I have had to drop my rating from 5 to 3.Edit 4/4/23: A group of us went there for dinner on both of last Friday and Saturday nights (31/3/23 & 1/4/23). They have a new chef and the food has greatly improved. All up we tried the Steak and Mushroom/ Pepper Gravy, Rissoles and Mash, Parmi, Fisherman's/ Fish and Chips Basket and the Steak Sandwich. The only miss was Fishermans/ Fish and Chips Basket and this was only because the seafood was generic packet type seafood which was disappointing. Everything was really well cooked and as requested. The atmosphere here is the best in town as the bar is in habited by locals and the staff are super friendly and up for a laugh. Back up to 4 ☆'s.

I would really like to thank Kayleen and Kylie for their fantastic service today. Kayleen was not even supposed to be working but stepped in to help out with the crowd. Huge meals topped off a great afternoon in the Beer Garden

Friendly and welcoming hotel. All bar and dining areas are clean and well lit and the building has been renovated in a sympathetic style.Large outdoor dining areas at the rear which is dog friendly.

We called in to the Beverley Hotel for a meal after visiting York for my partners birthday I ordered a surfe and turf which came out without the prawns and was told by the staff I could have the prawns if I wanted as that was what I ordered the salad was 3rd rate prepared about a week before I will not be returning again and will tell all my motorcycle friends to bypass this pub in the future and the toilets were atrocious so don't get me started there
