Norfolk Lodge, Inneston

Very well equipped and comfortable in a peaceful and historic setting.Beautiful interior wood. No telephone reception at the Lodge but this available at various sites throughout the National Park. Toilet which was ensuite to the Lodge was very clean and adequately equipped. This was our third stay.

First off: the park is great and the heritage site is well located to explore it. Some of the other buildings might be nicer. But with an external bathroom (not noted in details) and the least comfortable mattress I've ever laid upon, this building should not be your first choice for a stay in the park. It might be a step up from camping, but not by much. Nobody is really responsible for the lodge other than the duty ranger, who obviously is not going to be a customer service person per se.Special note: do not stay here if you're arachnophobic.
