This sunset visit was recommended by friends, it would have been far more spectacular if there had been clouds - can't control the weather

A 'must see' when visiting Coober Pedy. Not too far north of town and you can drive through and come back into town from the eastern end. You will also drive past the Dog Fence. Road is a good dirt track. The scenery is beautiful. Like a moonscape. Lots of colours.

Stunning landscape. We spent time investigating the area and doing a few walks. The colours of the breakaways are diverse and stand out against the rest of the surrounding landscape.

A beautiful breathtaking location where all the colours of orange are illustrated into the sand, cliffs and stone. It’s an impressive place abs easy to see why films are after shot there

Interesting scenery and easily accessible by 2WD gravel. Great vantage points to look and wonder at the stunning land and rock formations.

Exceptionally beautiful .It's not far off the Stuart Highway .Drive to the main lookout ...even if you don't have time to go to other side views" along the way .The area has ceremonial significance for at least 3 indigenous nations .I saw it in June .The area had just had some rare rain ...look up the story of the two dingos .one photo shows side by side hills .Two dingos of different colour ."

What a breathtaking experience. It's completely remote and on a dirt road of about 20 km but totally worth the visit. There are so many spectacular views of mountains and plains, it's beautiful.

Great place to watch the sunset, road is a bit rough but if you take it easy you will be ok, or you can do a tour out there.

Great experience of exploring outback South Australia. Our guide, George, was knowledgeable and had a quirky sense on humour. A little port or mind altering substance is required to ‘see’ the old man, camel and dog in the formations- we had a good laugh, never the less.
