Invenio Engineering Solutions

I purchased a premium license to gain access to piping and routing, promised to be a great solution to piping design. The unfortunate and costly truth is, that its too unreliable to be used in a commercial sense and you can achieve something similar in Solidworks with no need for the routing add in at all, huge waste of money. It has several product breaking bugs that Invenio claims dont exist, when I needed them the most to help me overcome these issues they were no where to be seen, my support tickets were being cancelled as I created them, which caused me to miss deadlines and soured my relationships with my customers. It also doesnt come with any libraries of fittings that are of practical use in the real world, users then need to create their own, giving resellers the perfect excuse to claim all the problems are user errors. Invenio made no effort to investigate the issues I was having, the only solution they could provide was to request even more money for training without any commitment to resolve the specific issues I was facing. Ive used Solidworks for over 10 years, pretty much daily I have to deal with some bug or glitch with crashes happening almost as often, with experience you develop work arounds to get the job done and accept that crashes are the norm, but no such work arounds could be found to make routing and piping work as described or reliably. Solidworks is also incapable of dealing with CAD files like IFC exported from BIM, even though it can open them, what you get is unusable, and when its churning away trying to open these files its only using 12% CPU and half the available RAM, its clearly also not optimised for modern hardware. If it does manage to open the file, the performance is so bad its unusable. It also doesnt like dealing with a moderate amount of sketches or relations, continually asking to hide them to improve performance. This is an expensive CAD program that cant deal with sketches, the basic building block of any design? The freeze function is supposed to stop the constant rebuilding every time you move a dimension in a drawing, but it doesnt, it will rebuild the same assembly over and over and over again, making 5 minute jobs take hours. I could go on for days describing all the problems I have to deal with.If you are looking for a CAD package, take it from someone who has used this software for a long time, dont choose solidworks or Invenio, not just for its problems, but the uncompromising pricing and package structure and the apparent contempt for its users. Considering the amount of money I have given this company, the customer service has probably been the worst Ive had to experience.For me this experience has been the catalyst to dump soldiworks for good.
