Absolutely delicious fried chicken.I had the sandwich and tender with chips pack. Massive feed, huge serve of fries that made me feel a little devious when we've recently had chip shortages.The sandwich is so simple with a chicken tender, creamy coleslaw and cheese, but it really works to perfection.Highly recommend.

Great and simple chicken tender sandwiches I got hot sauce which was a builder in chilli heat wise, good seasoned fries with dipping sauce, you definitely need paper napkins. Prices were reasonable at under $20.

Delicious and simple menu. Really enjoyed the food. Service was great tooI would say the heat grading system needs a slight tweak. Ordered hot but regretted not getting extra hot as the heat wasn't that pronounced. May have just been my order but would say choose extra hot if you like spicy. Keep up the good Goldbird crew.

We saw a write up and travelled down to Freo. Worth the trip.It's a small menu, but big in flavour.I would have liked more of a 70s vibe, but the music was spot on.

Was originally looking for Dim Sum when I walked past this place and I'm glad I came in. I'm currently feasting on their tenders (Hot) and chips and the seasoning and taste is quite beautiful. I don't feel any hot powder after burn, so I'll go for the Extra Hot next time but the meal is really enjoyable. So enjoyable that I had to stop eating and leave a review!

The biggest problem is that the chicken and chips are powdery. The texture is very strange. The batter on the chicken is also heavy and greasy but the powdery seasoning was the main problem.Two of us both had the same experience. I'm not sure if it was just our batch or the mild chicken/chips which have this problem.The plusses are the menu is simple and efficient, the decorating is cohesive and on theme, food came out fast, price was a little high though. Atmosphere is great and it's nice to be tucked away off the main strip.The drink selection is good, some nice sodas. The chips were the frozen kind you buy in bulk, bang on average. The chicken was not good.Freo is fairly competitive, around the corner is Palace Arcade with better chicken and chips - which is so disappointing considering Palace is primarily a pizza shop. I would encourage the owners to definitely go out and compare their product to what others are offering, it's just not up to par and it has a premium price.
