My review for the Violin Centre at Gordon has been long overdue. It's high time to do it during the Covid lockdown at home without an excuse! This very old and renowned shop since Robert Tepper time has always been my favourite violin shop.Under the new ownership of Kevin Tu since some 15 years ago, the shop has further developed to become a one-stop place to acquire properly setup violins for beginners, students or professional alike.It was a satisfying experience for me when I found a whole range of wonderful instruments from aspiring string players to virtuosi. For the last few years I have acquired two Smith violins and French violin bows for my family.Kevin is very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and a master luthier whom you can entrusted with your own precious instruments. He is very proud of his instruments which are all very well setup and many are priceless instruments with wonderful full tone. I have no hesitation to recommend Kevin and his violin shop to any violinists.If Maxim Vengerov (photos attached) left his priceless Stradivarius to Kevin for urgent repair in 2015 during his Australian tour, this shop is the best to be trust in quality and workmanship.
