Francis Hotel
Visited the hotel while checking out the painted silos & the big wombat. Met Wozza & his wife who run the hotel, a real pleasant couple, friendly pub, plus excellent food if you fancy a bite to eat. Check out the wine while you are there own labels on them. We had an enjoyable few hours there. Off the cuff, Wozza even gave us a guided tour around Thallon showing us the sites, which we appreciated very much.

Meals were a tad sad, definately not pub grub.Vegies from a steam bag, gravy microwaved, $28.00 for 3 small lamb cutlets although they tasted nice

Stopped at campsite up the road, walked to pub to pay our $5.50, had a wine and had a chat with owners and got entertained by their dog. Lunch was great, steak sandwich very tender and fish basket was great.

All of the management and staff are awesome people as you would expect in a country town, the service and food is exceptional.If you're travelling past here you have to stop have a cold drink and a great feed

If you don’t stop in here then there’s no one that can help ya. Seriously friendly people, great hot chocolate, terrific coffee and there’s little doubt the beer is cold.

Rolled into town on my rail trolley with 14 others to stay over night. Great Hospitality, good food and drink, clean rooms. Will visit again any time I'm travelling through. Thanks Wazza and his talented companion dog (apologies I can remember the dogs name).
