BIG W Altona Meadows

If I could give this no stars I would. The staff at this big w are so unprofessional and rude. I experienced yelling from one of the workers for asking my sibling to behave, would they tell a parent telling their kid off the same thing? I don’t think so. I was then asked to leave the store. I have been shopping at this store for years and have had many interactions similar to this such as being accused of stealing multiple times my brother has been asked to have his very small clear plastic bag searched which clearly just had his wallet in there. One another occasion I was trying on clothes and was told that I was not allowed to try them on , my sister was also told that she could not try it on because it would not fit her. My cousin then has his wallet held on to by the woman in the change rooms while he was trying his clothes on, when I asked for it she opened it looking into then realised that it was not from the store but still would not give it to me until after he tried his clothes on. This was the last straw. I will not be coming back and I will stick to Kmart where they have customer service skills it’s cheaper anyways.

So disappointing to be treated so unprofessionally by your manager Kate today. You have lost me for ever as a customer.When an item description does not match the contents then you are entitled to a full refund. Not as in my case a rude and very unpleasant exchange. In this case packaging which states several times on the outside Pokemon Card Game'

There teller machines robbed me fifty dollars some months ago and there staff and manager's are not helpful and not to be trusted and respected. There answer to my request for a camera footage was they don't have a camera footage and they will bring it up in their next meeting to have one installed. Are there anyone else out there that have been robbed and never been paid and rectified or am I the only one.

Staff were More than helpful and done whatever possible to answer my questions today and really made an effort with conversations created with myself to install confidence and create a relaxed experience whilst I shopped. I don’t like major department stores and try to avoid as much as possible but today experience at big w Altona meadows left me feeling good and the kids were more than happy when I returned home with toys and other items I purchased at a very reasonable cost. Overall recommend BIG W ALTONA. Big thumbs up

The shop was quiet, neat and tidy. Isles were clear and pleasant atmosphere.How ever I was a little disappointed though as they had a sign on an end stating $29 overhead in big print and I didn't notice the small sign below. See attached picture.So when I went to the register I was surprised it scanned at $40. I just thought this was extremely deceiving.This sort of misleading signage should not be allowed.It's not about the money it's about the principle. As a major big box retailer they should not be allowed to deceive their customers.

Carla is a store manager with an extremely bad attitude, rude and rude. We bought a bicycle with a packing box for our child. After returning home and assembling it, we found that the wheels of the bicycle could not be reversed. We went to the this shop to ask why. The bicycle was left there and they told us to notify us of the result in about a week. We waited. We didn’t get any calls from them for more than two weeks, so we went to the store to ask, and Carla, Bigw Altona meadows manager, said that there was no problem with the bike, and we couldn’t return it. We asked for the original bicycle’s purchase box to be returned to us, and Carla denied that they had any The box, and later said that the box had been thrown away. We asked them to provide the original box, and Carla just ignored us and hid.Remember BIG W ALTONA MEADOWS SHOP, I will never go to this store again, and I do not recommend you to go to this store with a bad attitude and unreasonable throwing away customers' things at will. I wish THIS SHOP an early closure!Buy from this store if you want to make yourself unhappy, you may experience a terrible customer attitude when you return your items.

The manager Kate who works at this store is absolutely unbelievable. She is unprofessional, rude , abusive, abrupt . To tell a customer get some brains is unprofessional. This women would not exchange faulty phone with a receipt bought 2 hours prior because it was purchased at Werribee , she was so arrogant about it and actually embarrassing. We went to Werribee after our horrible experience and had no issues . She should be fired , not working with customers. Shame on you kate the way you treated us in the Altona meadows store.

Great store that is spacious, open and airy with plenty of space for roam around the store.Located within Central Square in Altona Meadows you’ll find this Big W a good place to shop.Staff greet you as you enter and helpful if you’re not sure where to look for something.Most household goods, homewares, clothes, toys and more available.All credit cards taken here. ATM’s available outside the stores. Plenty of stops for refreshments. Good parking outside. Wheelchair accessible. Disabled friendly. Stroller friendly. Kids will love it.

I want a human being to check me out, especially with complex needs at check out. Their human “was on break” with only self-check out available and multiple problems and errors w this option as usual. If the human goes on break, you shouldn’t be so greedy as to not have a policy to have another human step in. I hate self-checkout. There have to be options. I will try to avoid shopping here unless you change your human being checkout to make sure the options are available.
