Thank you Shane for my healthy smooth hair!I am a curly haired girl who found keratin to be too 'straightening'. La Unica's 'de-frizzing' treatment is a perfect nourishing conditioner + smoothing treatment to help deal with summer humidity. I went from taking 20 - 25 to dry hair from wet to 10 mins.I have had so many comments about my healthy hair!I had the treatment in October 2020 and am now in my 4th month.My hairy is wavier and takes a little longer to do but it's still healthy and smooth.Highly recommend!

They were great, my hair is very long and thick, they did an amazing job and listened to what I wanted, instead of trying to tell me how they believed it should be.

I’m so pleased I discovered this salon not far from where I’ve been staying in Abbotsford . From the moment I made an appointment , La Unica has proven to be very professional . Following up on my initial message for a call back , to a reminder via txt that I was booked in . Shane & Mikaela are absolutely lovely . Their handling of my very long hair was understanding and caring . Even the washing out of colour & subsequent rinse was relaxing , especially in the gentle back massaging chair . I can not thank Susana and the team at La Unica enough for saving me at 2pm on a Friday afternoon when another salon cancelled my appointment at the last minute. I required half a head of foils and retaping of my hair extensions so I knew finding a salon that late in the day and last minute would be difficult. I rang La Unica Salon and the owner, Susana very kindly fit me in. From the time I set foot in the salon I was greeted with fantastic customer service, I was assured they'd be able to provide my with what I needed and boy they were right! Susana did a fantastic job with matching the foils to my extensions, retaping and styling. She took so much care to provide an optimum service even though it was past closing time. It's evident Susana takes pride in her business and treats her customers the way she'd like to be treated. I can not recommend La Unica Salon and Susana enough - I'm one very happy client and will be back. Thank you again for saving the day!

I've been a client of Susana's for approximately 12mths now. When I first walked in the door my hair was in the worst state it has ever been from poor treatment and badly advised products (both of which were completely overpriced) sold to me by my 'brand' name salon.Today my hair is in the best state it has ever been since I started to go blonde 20 years ago! It is thick, there is no more damage, the blonde tone the best I've ever had and I'm receiving so many compliments. Susana has made getting my hair healthy a sinch and at such a reasonable price! I'm always so chuffed with the value of going to La Unica. It's not only the price but also the friendliness of all the staff and the team environment Susana has created with her team!Can not recommend enough!

The staff are skilled and the products are great but unfortunately I can not recommend this salon based on the vibe, alone. I wondered why I hadn’t been to the salon in several years and was promptly reminded when the owner made a string of passive aggressive comments about the condition of my hair in front of other clients. Mean girls, humiliating, high school bully style. Not cool. My hair was done by the lovely Kristy and I was happy with her skill and demeanour but the tension in the air due to the micro managing / control freak owner is horrific. I left almost in tears when the owner decided to once again lecture me about the state of my hair and try and push more product sales on me. This was so disappointing at a time where so many of us are facing stress and uncertainty during COVID and just a week or so after the B&W #challengeaccepted women supporting women photo campaign, I choose to support businesses which make me feel good.

I went to La’Unica following a couple of awful experiences at other salons. Susana and the team were patient with me from the first phone call through to the end of my appointment. They are friendly, professional, motivated, keep you informed, listen to what you want, and deliver on what they promise. And i LOVE MY HAIR now. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. I’ll be back soon!

If you are searching for a experienced, professional, highly skilled, super friendly hairdressing salon that really cares about your gorgeous long mane as much as you do, then stop wasting your precious time immediately and get yourself an appointment at LA UNICA pronto! I have been in and out of hairdressing salons around Sydney for way too many years, and always left so bitterly disappointed, disillusioned and completely robbed of my hard earned money. Going to the hairdresser for a colour and cut should not cost a girl nearly 3 weeks rent money and further, you should always leave the hair salon with cat walk worthy hair. Up until my visit to LA UNICA last Saturday, I can honestly say that a) I have never ever left a hair salon with cat walk worthy hair and b) I could put a very generous deposit on a property with the amount of money I have been charged over the years to colour and cut my long hair. From the moment I walked into LA UNICA and met with my new very best hairdresser friend Shane, I just knew I was in for a very special hair utopian experience. From the moment of meeting the super friendly LA UNICA team, the gorgeous Bix & Dex puppy therapy, savour a top barista worthy coffee (thanks Katie), best hair wash & head massage basin experience ever (thanks Lili ) it was without question my best EVER hair dressering experience. Shane did a complete colour makeover (I was well over due). I went from years of torturing myself with head full of foils to a totally gorgeous balayage) and the best ever long haircut I have ever had. To add to my awesome hair experience, I walked out of the salon in just under 3 hours from start to magnificent special blow dry finish. And when it was time to pay, I had to ask Shane to repeat himself when he gave me the more than reasonable price for the complete colour change and long haircut. I was in hair heaven when I floated out of LA UNICA salon with hair that was so much better than cat walk worthy, it was magnificent hair show stopping ready.
