I went to paxton due to its good reviews and ratings to check on my spark plugs and oil leaks. I was quoted with roughly $200 for the job and ended up paying $460 to change 4 spark plugs and their leads. The inspection of my oil leak led to a fine crack in the rack end that doesnt have to be replaced but I still did due to my own safety concerns. Atleast the second time I got charged roughly $300 that I got quoted beforehand just to find out recently that my rack end boot was fixed with a zip tie instead of the proper metal clamp that would have been supplied with a new unit. So it was probably only cleaned out and newer renewed. I refused the offer to refurbish my engine for $6000 due to cracked head gaskets which was never the case since it has been inspected by a close friend down south who is a mechanic aswell. I am shocked how I got ripped off more than $700 for a job that maybe cost them $100 in material and 1-2 hours in the worst case of their time. I hope they will do better in the future to keep up their good reviews and the good and honest work that other mechanics do. All the best, an unhappy but accepting ex-customer.
