Canberra Nara Peace Park
It is fantastic and a beautiful walk. $13 parking for 4 hours is amazing, we come from Sydney and $13 may get you 1 hour parking depending where you're going

Canberra Nara Peace Park
This was one of the many places we visited in Canberra as we jammed in as much as we could while we were there for 5 days, this location is a must visit, we went in the rain but it didn't take away from the amazing pieces in this park, my photos don't do it justice, so I encourage a visit to this stunning location when visiting Canberra. A great place to sit and reflect in the gazebos or simply wander through the many pathways to each item.

Canberra Nara Park is near Capital Hill, on the side of Lake Burley Griffin.NARA Park is about 2.3km from Main Shopping Centre in Canberra. The Canberra Nara Candle Festival held annually in Spring, is a community celebration of the Canberra Nara Sister City relationship. The Festival is held in Canberra Nara Park on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.2010 PagodaToka was commissioned to celebrate the 1300th anniversary of Japan's ancient Capital, Nara. The sculpture has three main elements: A five-storied Pagoda form which represents Canberra; a floating Stone represents Nara; and the form of a small bird Symbolising Peace. The Bird resembles a Latham's Snipe, a species which migrates annually between Japan and Canberra. The artist has created Taku to express the amicable relationship and mutual understanding shared by Canberra and Nara as sister Cities.Come and see the lovely Nara Park, has the Kasuga Stone Lanterns, not only that bring your Food and have a BBQ, or a Picnic lunch. There is a Toilet block, on the side of the Car Park.

Canberra Nara Peace Park
A really stunningly beautiful spot, particularly in spring and autumn where there are blossoms and leaves. The statues and monuments are interesting to investigate too - from the peace bell to the pavilion. Having the lake so close means you can potter about on the little beach as well.

Beautiful during autumn. Not a big space but it makes you feel very peaceful and zen. Would be a perfect spot for some matcha tea and a good book!
