Customer service is incredible here! Thank you Dea for being so kind and patient with me. After showing her photos of my room and explaining what I was after, Dea went above and beyond to help me find the perfect lamp for my room. I spent nearly an hour at the store being a picky customer, trying to find the right fit for my room. Thankfully, I had the great service of Dea, who was very patient with me and showed me all the options whilst giving great decorating advice and just had a general chat.Thanks again for all of your help!

The light we wanted was out of stock at most stores and we wanted it that day for installation. Nick went out of his way to arrange the light delivered directly to our property within a few hours and assisted us with the tracking of it. He went above and beyond what was expected and saved us a lot of time and hassle. Thank you!!

Very poor customer service. I will never go to Beacon Lighting again as I did not like the way I was treated and was not listened to. The Manager does not listen and is bound by rigid rules instead of using her own judgement. Simply tried to return an extraction fan for a larger one when they implied that it was used. Not ever used because it would not cover the hole. Common sense that it was not used. Taken out of the box and held up to the hole - yes. That's the extent of it. Bunnings next time but never again to Beacon. Minus one star for customer service by Manager.

Extremely helpful staff. Came here on a weekend after leaving the Heidelberg store in frustration because we couldn't get any service. As soon as we walked in here we were attended and ordered everything we needed. They even let me use the toilet - the Heidelberg store refused.

Staff are incredible, helpful and so resourceful. I’ve been in and out of the store several times to purchase my new home lighting. The biggest issue I have, is the feathers and loud seagull noises in the store, it’s really off putting and annoying. Regards Vivian

Be aware when buying candle light bulbs as the photo has picture of Bayonet Cap and when open pack a Edison Screw bulb is inside. I have fallen into this trap twice, never again.

I have been to Beacon lighting in Preston three times recently for lighting for our renovation. The staff have been amazing and gone above and beyond to be helpful. Spencer was so lovely and helpful each time. We also had a consult with their interior designer Sarah, who was amazing and helped me finalise all my choices. Would definitely recommend this store!

Visited the store on Saturday, lighting consultant was great, when she asked her manager questions, we got the death stare by the manager Sarah, who didn’t want to be there! Then started whispers smart comments into the ear of lighting consultant to pass onto us. Beacon head office should invest in training Sarah in customer services, prior to awarding her the title of manager! Took the business of 50 feature lights and 125 downlights to About Space in Fitzroy who were only too happy to help for a $18,000 sale.

The Preston staff are not very customer focused. I tried to return an item and they told me to go back to the store I bought it from. This was news to me as have been a regular shopper with this company and have previously returned items to other stores where they were not purchased, it was never an issue in fact I was previously told this was acceptable to do. Poor service. Drove the extra distance to the Abbotsford store where I found staff more attentive and helpful.
