Sergio's Cake Shop (Top Ryde)

Used to like this cake shop but won't order any more. My husband ordered a black forest and it didn't taste like it at all! Cream was dried and cracked and the cherries looked like they've been sitting there for at least a few days and the cake inside was very dull. I can't believe it was made and delivered on the same day as they said. Very disappointed!

We ordered a cake for my daughter’s Birthday a few days in advance. The old lady working here called me on the birthday morning and said, there delivery girl is late. On explaining that we have a hall booked for 2 hours and need cake on time, she said she will get it delivered on time. Then she kept on lying that the delivery girl is in parking and on the roads and etc for more than an hour. I had to get a replacement cake from them which you can get outside for 30 dollars while she charged me double than that just because I had to buy something as the guests were waiting. Terrible experience and this is my second time having such experience. I gave them benefit of doubt first time.

Thank you, thank you! The team at Sergio’s Ryde truly went above and beyond my expectations to provide an amazing cake and service. I was in a rush and having a bad day to say the least, but the wonderful woman who served me was patient and helpful. On top of that, she did me a HUGE favour by immaculately placing some flowers I’d purchased on my cake. The end result: a fresh, rich red velvet cake that looked just as good as it tasted (everyone thought it was a made custom engagement cake!). I’d give 6 stars if I could! Thanks again for a great cake and service, we will definitely be back!

Sergio's is a specialty cake shop so I may have been out of line ordering a traditional smashed avo on toast, even though it is a menu offering. While the dish was okay, I was somewhat disappointed to discover the addition of butter to the toast, as I don't believe butter and avocado should go together. While the slice of bread was evenly and well Toasted, I was also surprised they used a thin slice of white bread, the sort of one dollar white loaf you would buy from Aldi. The fruit flan was also lacking any significant fruit, although it was compensated by extra custard. Staff were very friendly, and prices reasonable. Overall a satisfactory experience, but in no way a great one.

Do not buy cakes from them. I ordered a tiramisu cake from them for my friends birthday and the cake was not having any coffee flavour in it and was very dry. It was just some normal cake with buttercream frosting and nothing more than that no tiramisu flavor in it. I would rather prefer getting one from woolies than getting it from this place. I went to the store with the cake and complained them regarding the same but the lady was very rude and not even ready to accept my complaint. Not just me but all my friend felt the same way it was completely waste of money and it spoiled the whole event.

I recently visited this shop and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The cake I purchased had a bad smell, which I believe had already spoiled and did not taste good at all. I was very disappointed by the poor quality of the product, and the bad service I received only made matters worse.

I bought 3 separate pieces of cake from Top Ryde. I shared the first slice with my daughter, she found mould on the bottom of her piece. I had already finished mine. Tried to contact the store. No phone contact. Wrote on the contact website to let them know, no response. Did not eat the other 2 cakes. Will never purchase cake from them again. Very disappointed.

This place should be shut down! I was about to buy a few cake slices and tarts, then noticed the pavlova and fruit tarts had mouldy fruit on them. On searching, found there are multiple reviews saying the same thing. This place is disgusting!

3.6 - Picked up one of these little Pistachio items for $3. I was surprised how little it was when I fished it out from the paper bag (as you can't tell from the glass counter). It was moist and tasted good. The only thing was that I expected a horseshoe but it was about 2 thirds of that (as it is chubbier than the usual ones). I do wonder if these items are made fresh because every time I walk past, it is a full stack of cakes and Nibbles. I never really see people buy anything from there but it was ok for me!
