Amazing focussed museum well worth seeing. Plenty of parking, tourist information, toilets, access to walking paths, free wifi (Optus dead zone). Leave a reasonable donation.

What an great museum, you can tell the volunteers have such passion for the history of mining and Herberton. Pan for some tin, fun for all ages. The walks are interesting. Would highly recommend a visit and spend a few hours.

Really interesting and informative displays. If your interested in history, mining, or geology (or just like a good little museum!) this place is worth a stop. there is good parking and toilets.

Great place to visit and experience the early days of life. Well layed out and it will take a few hours to enjoy all that's there. Worth the visit.

Great museum! Looks small on the outside but full of artefacts and information. No entry fee but donations welcomed.Graeme the tour guide was very well informed and enthusiastic!Thanks Graeme :)

The volunteers were amazing and so generous with their time, spent a good hour with us explaining everything!! Learnt so much. 10/10 would recommend.

We visited the historical museum at Herberton and received free tickets to visit the mining museum.A beautiful display of mining history. Great for kids. The walking trails are really good, lovely bushland, lemon scented yellow jacket gums filling the air with the fragrance of eucalyptus and lemon, so uplifting. Informative history and restored dwellings along the way to view.A recommended visit.

Tuns of info & relics on early mining, allow yourself plenty of time because around every corner is more to see on display. Also several walks from easy to long out the back walking thru the original Herberton mining site with plenty of old equipment to see on the way!! Really worth the visit & only a gold coin donation. Staff were super knowledgeable & friendly, highly recommend a visit
