Bribie Island State School

It's a good school....What's not to love it's near the beachIt's near shopsIt has a drop and go zoneIt has ample parking up and down the streetIt's buildings may be old but that gives them character... The classrooms from what I've seen are a traditional design...Teacher at front with a whiteboard and then tables set out in class in a traditional design rows and or a U shape...And good news this style of school seems to be working for my daughter and she is doing well as far as I'm aware.

Having had four generations of my family go to this particular Primary School I may be a bit biased in my opinion. The school has obviously grown and changed over the years, but being a small school on an island it retains a good sense of community. I find the faculty easy and willing to engage in productive communication regarding the education and wellbeing of my children. The school grounds I'll always in good condition being clean and well presented there also plenty of amenities and activities for the school community to engage in.

If you send your kid to this school, make sure they know how to fight, as a previous student the amount of kids that wants to scrap is crazy, so at least make sure your kids can win fights.

This school hired a teacher that is partially responsible for my son's severe depression (which has lead to some truly upsetting events for our family), due to bullying. This school, despite knowing about the history, put my son in this teacher's class.You'd assume that after a discussion with the principal the easiest and least disruptive answer would be to move my son out of this teacher's class and everyone can go on their separate ways. But no. The school has repeatedly refused to change my son's class and has instead continued to make my son attend a class with this teacher and allowed the teacher to interrupt my son's PRIVATE in school councilling sessions.Absolutely sickening. They clearly do not care about their students.

I can’t fault this school. Moved my boys from another school. They do not tolerate any bullying at all and will always get to the bottom of it. My boys are nOw thriving

The amonut of bulling and rudeness in a class room is appalling it is a disgrace to the the lovely people of Bribe Island. In my opinion there are so many things they could do better but they are choosing not too. It sadness me to say but this school needs more help in place for students in need.

A beautiful School in a beautiful part of Queensland.Both my son and daughter attend and catch the bus home everyday.And everyday both my children come home and tell me there experienceon the bus, and its not good....Yesterday morning my son wanted to talk to the principle about the behavior of other children on the bus and the Principle promised my son a meeting this morning to talk about what happened. The principle did not attend the meeting and the admin staff called him to notify my son was waiting for him outside his office, he then told the admin staff no meeting was set.There was a meeting set and the Principle decided not to attend because The school does not want to deal with bullying.
