Visited here to see the blast furnace. It's an amazing piece of history. There were no other visitors, so it's a great place to visit of you don't want crowded areas. I'd definitely revisit.

It's pretty scrapy but kind of secluded in a nice way. There's some surprising history too if that's your kind of thing. Lots of evidence of trail bike riding, which for me means giving it a miss on the weekends.

Really cool little picnic area with alot of history worth the drive up.In spring the wild flowers are incredible.Keep your eye out for the resident echidnas. In warmer months walk with a heavy foot and keep an eye out for snakes.

An interesting bit of history and the furnace is a nice relic. Looks like a nice picnic area (a bit rainy the day we visited so didn’t hang around).

The gravel road down to the picnic area gave me shivers down my spine. Don't risk with a 2WD. Didn't see a soul.

This picnic area is a great place for BBQ with friends, but we need to prepare charcoal, fire accelerator and lighter etc.

Blast Furnace picnic area and historical marker to see and read the history and the Lal Lal reservoir. Picnic, camping ground, road in is a little rough.

Very much off the beaten track, but moderately accessible for most.Amazing to visit and think about those who worked here in the past.Great to see this area maintained. The plaques that have been posted alongside the walking tracks are interesting and informative.

Picturesque short historical walk at a unique and interesting chapter of Victorian history. Has a toilet block at parking area.
