Proximity Plumbing

I first used Proximity Plumbing last year (2022) to support this new local plumbing business. As the work was satisfactory and affordable I rebooked them for a simple job last Friday.The plumber did not not arrive within the 2 our window of 8-10AM so I called the office and was told he was on his way. Shortly after another plumber arrived (Director/Owner). The job was to replace one shower head and two shower wall taps all supplied by myself. The quote I was given was $280.00 which really surprised me as I thought this would be a very simple and quick job.Hearing the cost I assumed it was more complex so agreed to proceed.It was a very quick job taking 10 minutes, so a total of just under 15 minutes at my property.When I went to pay at the office I was advised the total was actually $308.00 and upon stating I was quoted $280.00, the owner said plus GST". This wasn't mentioned before I agreed to the price.So over $300.00 for a very quick and simple job which was completed satisfactorily.At these high rates I'm not sure I can afford to use them again."

Mark fixed leaking bathroom taps this morning. He was early, did an excellent job and ensured everything was clean and tidy before he left. I used the online chat function on Proximity Plumbing website to make the booking a few days ago. Very efficient with great service from the humans in the business. Thanks team !!

Great service. Answered my call quickly on a Sunday of a long weekend and at my house within 20 mins. I met three of their team members and all were lovely and considerate and helped solved a difficult problem.

Proximity plumbing visited yesterday to repair an old cast iron clogged main pipe and the job could not have been done better.James, our plumber was awesome- Such a decent and committed guy who analysed all parts of the pipeline, tested and then did his magic. Following, he tested and tested again to ensure that there was no further lurking problem (gurgling sound), etc. The equipment he used was top notch and his attitude was just what one would hope for.Communication by the team prior and following was also brilliant.I could not recommend or speak more highly of proximity plumbing and would use them again and again and again!Thank you

I had a tap that dribbled when turned on and another leaky tap which couldn't be turned off. It was driving me insane.On the day of my appointment, I was contacted by Proximity to advise of the expected arrival time.Plumber James arrived and inspected the problem. He suggested multiple solutions and discussed the options including all costs. After my decision, James promptly began to fix issues. The work was completed in a timely manner. I was shown the completed works to ensure satisfaction with the job.James was professional, friendly and courteous. Thank you, Proximity Plumbing!I will be happy to use your services in the future.

April 2023Max is good. Timely and Reliable.Although I can do this job myself as an amateur, but on the safe side - It’s better to commission a licensed plumber to ensure that the job is done properly the Right way.Cost on an uncomplicated 20mins job - I supplied all hardware / materials….. still at a standard call-out rate A$250 + GST.

I recently engaged Proximity Plumbing on a leaking tap that was a two minute easy fix and bill was $180 as call out fee which wasn't communicated prior to the fix. I later contacted their office to address the confusion (given their website claims that they do not charge a call out fee). Courtney took the time in listening and was somewhat surprised that the fee wasn't made clear prior to the fix. She also let me know that she would contact the plumber and investigate before coming back to me but that was a week ago and despite following up via email a week ago, I am yet to hear back from her. #Caveat emptor

This business is fabulous! Outstanding service and communication. The job is done quickly and very well.The plumbers are very knowledgeable, polite and friendly.If you accept a quote they give you a date for the service and they stick to it. The job is done very professionally and to a high standard.You will be really impressed by the quality and professionalism displayed.

I called Proximity Plumbing to clean our drains that were blocked. Max and Jet came the next day on time and were absolutely fabulous. Our job was carried out with the minimum of fuss and disruption. When they finished the job, they removed all of the material that was blocking our drains and left our home clean and without any trace of them being there. I highly recommend Proximity Plumbing (Will & Emily) and their team of professional and courteous plumbers. I will have no hesitation to use them again as necessary.
