Wildside Adventures

Booked a a rafting tour for 4 hours from 12pm to 16pm. When we arrived at 12pm, nobody was there. Waited 1 hour till the previous group with the guides arrived. Then we waited another 1/2 hour till they have eaten lunch. Effective time rafting (which was actually kayaking as the water was not very wild) was 1 hour. Paid 129$ per person. Far too expensive for this 1 hour!! Was not offered a refund. Guides were nice.

Thank you legends for a wicket time! The guides Dan and Chris were super friendly. You can see that they genuinely love what they do. Safety covered quickly and thoroughly. We were given a good heads up on how to handle each rapid we were approaching and they were always positioned ready to rescue should we capsize. Felt like we were in good hands but also given the freedom to attack the mighty Tully full on! What a day recommend 100%

The best tour!!! Did the half day rafting with John, Rhett and Ash. Water was a bit low towards the end of dry season but the whole morning was still a blast! Enjoyed a leisurely paddle in-between the thrill of the rapids. The staff were super knowledgeable of the river and made you feel safe the entire time. Makes you feel like you are out with friends enjoying the beautiful Tully and not some commercialized trip. Will recommend!!!

Half day Tully Rainforest Raft with Wildside Adventures - AWESOME!!!We chose to self drive to Tully Information Centre 12:30pm, where we met the rest of the group and our guides Max and John. Travelling from the information centre to the start of where you raft takes around 30mins in there 20 seat bus. (Pick up available from Mission Beach too)Max was very informative on the drive up, gave us all a good laugh with his story on the locals and showed us how to raft, things to look out for, areas to avoid and what to do if you need help. This photo is taken from one of the lookouts on the way up the range.Changing rooms are available when we stop at the river. They provide helmets, and life jackets. If you didn't have appropriate shoes there were also a few shoes to try on, and a few long sleeve shirts as a free option / free service.Each of us are given the opportunity to share a double raft or raft it solo, myself slightly sh*tting my pants as I have never jumped in a raft before... I opt to go with my boyfriend.So before Wildside Adventures lets you take off rafting they make sure you are familiar/comfortable with the raft, how to steer etc. Wildside Adventures Tully, ask you to practise cutting across the white waters against the current and Wildside also get you to tip your raft upside down then show them how to float and then how you climb back into your raft.My boyfriend tells me he is going to make the trip wild" and adventurous by taking the wetter route at each section. In this case now that I am use to the raft part - I am strongly regretting my decision to jump in with him.Fortunately he isn't the best with steering

Had an absolute blast doing Tully river rafting with John and Dan. We didn't realise it was two person raft so we ended up learning new skills. Liked it so much, we upgraded half day tour to a full day one and loved it. John explained all the tactics initially and then practised into calm water before heading downstream.Will definitely do it again if we are visiting. Thank you team. :)

Really fun activity. The crew gave everyone their own kayaks so we wouldn’t drag all day on the rocks given the lower flow, so nice to see they were thinking of us. Ran rapids independently, was sweet. Kayaks good, staff nice (Rhett and John, John’s a classic Aussie character). Free beer at the end!Thanks Wild Side

We had a great time on the Tully River in some fun rapids. The guides were all lovely and experienced. We would have preferred a smaller morning booking but were moved to the afternoon with 40 people, which wasn’t the best, but the guides made sure we weren’t waiting around too much and still enjoyed our time.
