Paul and Barbara are really nice owners and they found us jobs quickly even in a low season. The most i saw anyone wait for a job was one week. The hostel itself is small and homey. It felt more like a sharehouse then a hostel in a good way with a big shared saloon and a huge balcony. The only problems are that there aren't enough toilets and that they dont have transportation if you don't have your own car. The owners rent their car if you need but it's expensive.

Definitely NOT a working hostel. I stayed about 5 weeks from mid april and Paul , the owner, said he could get us some work and we only worked 10 days out of 5 weeks. Many people who stayed there got their job on their own. The hostel is very nice and fully equipped. Just call before going there.

Easily the best hostel I've stayed at in Australia. Paul and Barbara are so lovely and welcoming. If you get a chance to stay and work here I highly recommend it.

I would have rated 5 stars for the cleanliness of the hostel and the facilities, the hostel is really nice and clean, the other backpackers were amazing people, but it is not a working hostel.I stayed for 1 and a half month, I worked only 9 days. I ended up working by myself on a solar farm, and when Paul, the owner, finded me another casual job, he told me that I had to quit to my job on the solar farm to carry out his work, which I rejected, because of this he told me that I had to leave the hostel. I fully understand the concept of working hostel, but not a mandatory request to give up my work for their own interest.Most of the people in the hostel already have work by themselves, so if you want to go there try to call other hostels and investigate about the season to find out if there are works.
