Avenue Hotel Canberra

Great experience overall. The bed was really comfortable. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Walking distance to some great restaurants and cafes. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant Marble and Grain, loved it. Definitely recommend!

Went to Canberra for our first quick visit, hated Canberra, but got to admit the Avenue Hotel was certainly a highlight of the trip. Room was exceptionally comfortable, very reasonable priced with the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. They also had a novel idea where there was a notice on the dresser saying, if you liked the bed, scan this data for details now that you had a test run. Great way of finding out if the bed you buy suits you!!!!

The apartment size was great but this is no way near a luxury hotel. It feels very sterile and stark on the premises. We had a late check in which was graciously compensated with free buffet breakfast. However just simple things were missing like having to follow up both days for the $10 voucher for not having a service. The buffet breakfast was decent but was basically the same every day. The location was fantastic and the staff were helpful but overall just ok.

Excellent hotel in great location and great service. We were in Room G11, very spacious for 1 bedroom. Comfortable beds. The only complain I have is that the shower is very weak in water pressure. And the TV has no foxtel or anything much more than standard channels, which is disappointing given the price of rooms in this hotel. Parking is great and free if you book directly with the hotel. From the back of the hotel, restaurants and the Civic shopping centre are 5mins walk. Room service is good. Overall, a comfortable stay.

Would have loved to give this hotel 5 stars all round but for us the bed was just too soft. The location is fantastic and the restaurant down stairs does a great breakfast and their bar meals are fab as well.

A great hotel, centrally located in Canberra. The rooms are modern and comfortable, with one of the best hotel beds and showers I've experienced recently. There was also a nice, small balcony, though with limited view apart from other hotel rooms. For me, a downside to the room was the minibar, which entirely takes the place of a normal fridge unless you request that it be emptied. The gym on B2 was very good and I had it all to myself on a Sunday night and Tuesday morning. The hotel doesn't have many other facilities but that's fine given its location. The basement parking is very good, if a little tricky to negotiate in bigger cars. The reception staff were lovely upon check-in and check-out.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Avenue Hotel. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. I loved the high quality lotions and soaps. Parking was easy and I never had an issue finding a space. I prefer a medium to firm mattress so I found the bed a bit too soft for my liking, but it was still pleasant. I'll definitely consider returning here the next time I visit Canberra :)

Stayed for 2 nights in a Superior King room in tower 1. It was spacious, clean & comfortable. The king bed was so comfy, you can buy the beds also. Good location, short walk or drive to shops, restaurants & cafes. Free undercover secure parking if you book with the hotel direct which we did. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant also - Marble & Grain which was tasty. Nice hotel, recommend & would stay again if visiting the Canberra area.

This was a great place to stay. Bed soooo comfortable. Great location. Friendly staff. Would be nice if it had packets of instant coffee in rooms also....minor detail though. Breakfast good. Car parking great. Will definitely stay again.

1 room apartment for a week. Business solo trip.Clean, modern, well equipped, pool, gym, laundry, good phone reception.Best location for city and food on Lonsdale st.Car park is squeezy and costs $10 if you dont book direct.QR code menu download was out of date when ordering.Would recommend. Will stay again.
