Great walk on the other side of the bridge in Carrington. There's a fab little walkway through the mangroves which is eerily quiet so close to busy Hannell street. The park has plenty of space for kids to run and an easy flat bike/walking track along side the channel

Connolly park is very dry and the cricket pitch isn’t not up to scratch, far better around Newcastle area
