We contacted Eddy from Mbros Painting and decorating and found him to be extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. He came around to visit and we talked about what we wanted done. He had some helpful suggestions and went away to write up a quote.His quote came back quickly and of the 4 quotes we obtained Eddy's was second cheapest. That said, we liked his approach-ability and his ideas. He and his team started a few days later and got through the job very quickly. There is always disruption to lifestyle when basically a full interior and partial exterior house paint is being done but overall these guys were tidy (albeit all the furniture and lamps etc would be in the middle of the room at the end of each working day).The end result is where Mbros loses points in my book. Edging and cutting in is very untidy, we are left with wall paint spatter on the ceiling, paint spatter on the stairs from where the stair risers were painted, we have stain from the window panes dripped on the floor in the ensuite and paint runs on the kitchen walls. We requested additional things as the job went on and they agreed (obviously adding to the original quote) and one of those things was to paint the outside staircase balustrade. They painted one side but evidently forgot the other side of it. My wife contacted Eddy originally about this and got no response at all. Later on after we kept finding more and more poor workmanship, I contacted Eddy via text message and included a few photos for clarification. Eddy replied and said he would be in touch in a couple of days to arrange to come and attend to our concerns. That was a month ago.I really liked Eddy and his 'can do' attitude and easy going attitude but based on the quality of workmanship, I could not recommend Mbros Painting and Decorating.I had done the previous paint myself and spent 3 or 4 weeks doing what a team of professionals could come in and do in about a week.Looks like I could have saved myself $10,000 (+ or-) and done it myself again and had a much neater result.
