First time ... Last time!!!My four menu items had increased by $10 since the last letterbox drop; 20% inflation?!?! The Paneer Mutter was okay, at first ... until I realised some of the peas were firm and fresh and others just turned to mush. The Lamb in theSaag tasted like ... it had been cooked in water and then added to the sauce. Very odd flavour of the lamb! I never thought I'd see the day when I said, That's too much garlic!"

Better than most Indian restaurants in Brisbane I have been to. Mango chicken curry and Naan bread is delicious. I will have to try some more curries

A bit of a mixed review. We ordered naan, a paneer butter masala, vegetable korma and a goat masala for take away. The service was very nice and the flavours of the curries was lovely. Buuuut, the gravy was very thin and there was hardly any meat/cheese/vegetables in each dish. A main would not have enough substance for an average adult. And the naan was very small. Because of this I don’t think we will be back. But if you have an unlimited budget and can afford to buy twice as much as you usually do, the flavour is very good.

I’ve eaten at Shamianah several times and have had a consistently positive experience. The food is great; not a huge menu but every dish has its own distinctive flavour. The pea and mushroom curry is excellent, with big chewy chunks of mushroom. Also love their goat and lamb dishes. Really good naan and other breads. Low key, stylish decor. Helpful and friendly staff. And very reasonably priced - we paid $130 for three people, including beer. A great restaurant and not just for locals!

A hidden gem. The chef is a wonderful woman who uses her secret recipes to take you on an absolute adventure! Everything was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating, the staff were wonderful and accommodating. Value for money and I will be bringing everyone I can back to try this place as I had the best time!

Tried the chicken korma last time and tonight I had butter chicken with garlic naan. Food tastes amazing. Service is good, too. Will gladly be coming again with some friends.

Ambience is great and the smells of herbs and spices coming from the kitchen were enough to get the tastebuds wanting dinner. The waitstaff were very attentive and pleasant. Has a wonderful experience with my Family. Love to go frequently.
