Do yourself a favour and don’t book your dog in for a haircut here. Lisa the manager is more than happy to yell at her customers over phone after I requested my money back for an absolutely shocking job. My snoodle has been completely shaved all over (whiskers and all) leaving gross tufts of hair on her body which they have missed). After trying to discuss an alternative I was yelled at, cut off, and told that my dog was decrepit before being hung up on by her. All for the insane price of $120. I’m absolutely appalled by their service and will never be returning and will not be recommending this place to friends/family. I’m shaking with anxiety after that phone call.(Edit) in response to Lisa’s gross and harmful reply to my review. I’m shocked that your ego is determining whether or not my lovely dog can even get the groom she needs by banning her from other groomers. Clearly your poor service is not the correct fit for my dog so why take it out on her when it is a necessary service for the comfort of any beloved pet. You are clearly in the wrong industry and need to learn a thing or two about customer service and basic respect for other people and animals. I have taken my dog to other groomers previously who have reported no issues with her handling or behaviour and have always given her a suitable cut. She has been groomed her whole life so it is clearly an issue on your end, your other complaints on google seem to say the same thing… You noted above that she is deaf and blind which further highlights that you do not have the skills, like many other groomers do, to handle a dog with special needs. We gave you clear instructions on how to handle her to ensure she was not startled by your crew but was clearly not listened to and proves your business’s inability to provide for special needs. We take pride in providing comfort, love, and care for our dog during her senior years and I am disgusted by your attacks on the ability of myself and my family to take care of our lovely pooch. Please take this as advice to better your business as it is clearly lacking in basic principles.

My friends and I no longer use this service. Staff were rude (especially Lisa) and they were not interested in good customer service. A common theme appeared to be that we were being charged for our dogs' bad behaviour"; this was not an issue initially. We are now happy that we receive no complaints

Very happy with the service we receive from the girls at Pooch Palace. Lisa is very accommodating and she always puts the needs of the dogs first. We know they are in very good hands here.

Thank you Lisa and thank you to your team for grooming my 20 week old toy cavoodle earlier this week. Her haircut looks great and you did so well to clip her given she is such a wriggly worm. It’s very handy that you offer puppy practice grooms and I’m sure that it helped that my cavoodle had practice grooms at 12 and 16 weeks. Thank you very much for helping her be literally cool and stylish.

Absolutely love the service from Lisa and her staff at the Pooche Palace! We have been taking our Schmoodle Benji here ever since he was a puppy so almost 2yrs, I have been completely happy every single time with his groom and love the warm welcome when we arrive. Have recommended Lisa and her team to family and friends. Love seeing my furbaby so Happy and Handsome when he leaves here! Well done Guys!

Very upset with the communication from staff. We were lied to and we are now questioning the treatment of our pet whilst he was there considering they didn’t tell us the truth when we picked him up after his appointments.

Just had my 10 month old cavoodle groomed here for the first time. PP were efficient, professional and very friendly. Best of all we are extremely happy with how our dog looks. Have rebooked up until Christmas to make sure we get a spot. Thanks so much.

We attended pooch palace for puppy school after a one on one session with a trainer from Jordan Dog Training, Susan. The training truely eased us into puppy parenthood. We were really struggling with puppy biting in the beginning and after a consultation with Susan our puppy’s behaviour completely turned around. We were constantly redirecting our puppy’s biting but it didn’t work. Susan taught us to set boundaries and use time outs as discipline, along with much more information about dog psychology which really helped our puppy learn to behave! I cannot recommend Susan more highly!!

I have been taking my 2 standard dachshunds here for a couple of years but after their last appointment they won’t be going back. One of my boys is very anxious about the clips and he has never had a perfect groom at Pooch Palace because of this. Lisa has always told us he can be difficult and we have accepted this - mainly because they do a satisfactory job with our other dog. However, yesterday our dog came back half clipped, with track marks up his sides and very short hair across the belly. I emailed Lisa with photos explaining why I am not happy as he looks ridiculous.No self respecting groomer would have let a dog leave their facility like this, let alone charge a full fee! The response I got back from Lisa was flippant (it was the dogs fault) and she told me ‘no groomer would ever be able to do him to my liking because of his behaviour’. This is grossly unfair and inaccurate as I have never criticised her work with my dog for the last 2 years!!!! Not only does Lisa need to lift her skills as a groomer, she could use some customer service training too! I have given 2 stars based on her previous work, but after yesterday she doesn’t deserve any!
