We have had the great pleasure of staying at State Mines Hotel B & B twice now in just a matter of months. That’s because we had such a pleasurable stay in this luxury, 5 star B & B, with the most attentive and friendly hosts Jeannie and Lance, that we couldn’t wait to return! Any excuse! This B & B is truly a find. If you’re looking for a peaceful, opulent and spacious getaway, you couldn’t ask for more. Actually, what is more, is that they are incredibly generous with what they offer in-room and within the kitchen facility area. We loved the cooked breakfast which was so beautifully prepared for us by Jeannie in their magnificent dining room. We have happy memories of 2 great nights there, and we’ll be back! What a beautiful place to stay! We had such a lovely time at State Mines Hotel B&B. Hosts Jeannie and Lance have done an amazing job to make this historic hotel into a very warm and inviting B&B, with careful attention to the decor and styling. We highly recommend this place! PS The king suite bed is dreamily comfortable!

This place is so amazing that I don't even know where to start. First we received a big welcome from Lance and Jenny just at the door and then, when they start to introduce the place.. OMG, the most cosy and elegant place that I have stayed in my life. This hotel was built around 1920, but they turned it into an extremely comfortable B&B. It still has all the vintage charm but is also very modern and hip. The rooms are big, the bed are smooth, the bathroom, well I wish I had one like that at home.... AMAZING. It's very cute and amazing that they prepare breakfast boxes in the kitchen area...and you can lock up motorbikes for the night. Ahh.. I forgot, they have a stunning garden outside too. Ahhh... what a place. Well, don't hesitate when booking this place, there are only a few rooms, and you miss out I feel sorry for you! Definitely coming back!

Historical hotel renovated by the current owner operators Jeannie and Lance, a lovely couple. The vintage lightings in high ceiling and old fashioned light switches contrast modern bathrooms and kitchenette. What an experience.

as a resident of the street your guests need to learn that it is a 40km road.as there are kids who play out the front.no respect from the guest.

Amazing. Great hosts, fantastic breakfast, best bed, huge room, beautiful gardens. As good if not better than Finches of Beechworth, who won Trip Advisor B&B of the year a few years back.
