Popeye's Fish & Chips
Popeyes Coffs Harbour was the closest seafood place to us so we went in without any expectations. We ordered our meal with the very pleasant owner providing a lot of advice. Then while we waited we read some of the terrible reviews and wondered what we would get. Well I don't know which Popeyes the negative reviewers were in but it wasn't this one. Service was friendly. Food was fresh and well cooked and we recommend the Dory and snapper but the calamari was brilliant. Thank you all for a great meal.

Awful shop . They actual gave me a piece of fish and prawns that were past there used by date. They were off. Disgusting. How could they disgraceful. An Australian iconic food , let no only me down but they entire country. .

The fish and chips been in the defeezer for a long time. The batter is not fresh. Not a good smell. You guys need to give fresh fish and chips. Doesn't worth $15.50

He advertise $12 for a drink fish and chips I ending up paying $20 because I wanted barramundi then I went to grab a drink he said I haven’t paid for it was $23 all together, so expensive faults advertising

Service is good, shop is clean, food is great and large serves. Some reviews are negative about the elderly Indian gentleman who runs the shop, he's always been pleasant to me.

Very rude services, I assume owner as he tried to school me over the use of the EFTPOS machine, seems I threw him off, he told me the price when I was getting cash out of my purse, only to then change my mind to use EFTPOS, didn't like that, wanted to change the price to account for it significantly due to 'machine costs'Be careful when paying here, possibly getting ripped off!

By far the rudest person I have ever met and have never felt so unwelcome in a shop. Got yelled at to be patient for stepping inside the shop, scrutinised over my drink choice, missing items for order and when I went back in simply told no your not before realising he did and getting aggravated saying I shouldn’t have ordered so much - save yourself the trouble and don’t go here !
