MK Cafe New Farm
It was better as Cafe 63. I don't usually do negative reviews but after being a regular before it's name change and having visited with my partner a few months ago when we both left extremely disappointed. Today I need to express to management here what they didn't attend to on-site. I mentioned to the waitress that the thickshake was the smallest I had ever been served in a medium size glass. It wasn't cheap either. The owners where there and she talked to them but no one came over to discuss anything with me. The curry was nice but again the serving size was in the small side for the price. I won't be back but I suggest they pick up their game. If I'm not returning I would say lots of others aren't either.

MK Cafe New Farm
Started with fantastic service. Usually go to Cafe 63 at Jindalee, same menu and Usually order savoury mince on toast. Jindalee, your chef has to learn how to make this. MK New Farm has it down to 5 star. Not to big a serve but just perfect. And the lady that served me was just wonderful, professional, compassionate as I have a stutter and full of kindness. Best Breakfast Food and Staff. Thank you MK.

Great location in New Farm. However, we waited 2 hours for food. 2 meals came out rather than the 4 we ordered. We ordered two breakfast wraps and despite being the same item were completely different. Fries on the side cooked in old oil and thats all you could taste.After waiting for a while, we asked 2 staff members on two separate occasions and not once did a staff member return with an update for us. Presentation of food was lack lustre. Nothing really winning me over to ever return.

Believe it or not, the photo attached is not of Road kill or the cancerous scab of an elephant, but a $20 omelette from this restaurant... It's blubbery oily foam skin is so rubbery and dry... you could use it as a bathroom loofa. I've had some bad omelettes before but this takes the cake. It also took 30 minutes to make on a non busy time with only a few other tables... the salad with chicken for 23$ comes with inedible soggy croutons and three slivers of overcooked chicken added for $6. Definitely will never be coming here again and highly urge those who pass this place, to keep walking by...

Based on my side of the experience, I would highly recommend MK Cafe in New Farm. The location was perfect for a morning breakfast, and the front-of-house staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived.The service was quick and efficient, with our food arriving promptly and with a smile. The atmosphere was enjoyable, with a great balance of energy and calm that made for a perfect start to the day.The standout dish for me was the Egg Benedict - the eggs were perfectly cooked with a runny yolk, and the bread was toasted to perfection. The combination of flavors and textures was spot-on, and it was clear that great care had been taken in preparing the dish.The coffee was also wonderful - a great complement to the breakfast and a perfect way to start the day.Overall, I would highly recommend MK Cafe to anyone in the area. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot with friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food and coffee, this is definitely the place to go. I know I'll be back for sure!

The best thing about this place was the coffee. Apart from that it was pretty ordinary.Ordered savoury mince and an omelette. It took around 40-50 mins to arrive.The savoury mince was very tasty but way too oily and the omelette was very dry.3 stars is being generous.

MK Cafe New Farm
We ordered a ham and cheese toastie for takeaway and went 30m across to the park to eat it. The toastie was inedible!! It was one piece of ham cut into quarters and cooked on a grill, a piece of slightly melted cheese between two pieces of toast, no butter and not toasted in a sandwich press. This item alone was almost $10 (which I would have no problem paying for if the food was up to standard) my wife took one bite and refused to eat the rest. We went back to get a refund and the staff member told us that if we wanted a toastie to have butter on the outside of the bread we would have needed to relay that when we ordered it. After a several minute discussion with who seemed like a manager we were able to get our money back for the food. We had 2 flat whites from the place which were ok and we happily paid for. But all in all if you were eat here, get a coffee and stay well clear of the toasties.

Pleasant service staff showed us to a table.Good menu, we chose New Zealand Cod in batter with chips and salad. Nice meal complimentary bottled water. Fish and chips were nice, salad lovely and fresh. Will visit again.
