Best fight gym, best coaches, best owner, best staff. When I started here I was super self conscious being overweight and unfit, but I was never pushed past my comfort zone or made to feel like I shouldn't be there. The trainers are great at gauging everyone's ability level and tailoring their coaching accordingly. Now my son trains with me and we both look forward it every day :)

A great place with a fantastic atmosphere with some amazingly friendly trainers and staff. It's easy to mingle, and everyone is very friendly and supportive irrespective of your experience (especially during training sessions where some seniors have to train with relatively new people).I didn't give it a 5 star because I need clarification about the training structure. They have some entry-level classes but have yet to say what's next or the training path forward for someone who has joined an entirely new sport and is in a foreign land.It is very random as you can come and join any class, and there are chances you will be fighting/training with someone experienced who happens to be in that class along with you. Especially in the Mixed level classes, we were asked to do boxing sparring sometimes (without prior knowledge, which can create confusion as you are unsure if you are doing it right or what is the right way to do it, etc.). It would be ideal if they could guide us on what to do and explain the way forward. That said, I might be wrong and could have understood it completely wrong, and it depends on us.Piece of advice for new joiners: Please carry your gear as the standard gear can be smelly (especially in the evening classes as by that time, many of them have used them, and the gear didn't get enough time to dry out. Not a diss on the management as you are already helping us by providing the gear. )Also, evenings can be pretty crowded, especially the mixed-level Muay Thai classes at 7:30 pm.

I’ve been at the ring gym for over 3 years, and not only have I received the highest quality training from dedicated and experienced trainers, but I’ve become part of a supportive team and vibrant community. This is a place where egos are left at the door and everyone helps each other to achieve their goals, whether that’s fighting at the highest level, learning self defence, getting fit or just having fun.

I am 41 and have been training in this gym, with my 13 year old son for close to 12 months as beginners. The gym is fitness focused, with great technique to be learned from any level. The trainers are not there to muck around, and expect you to push for your personal best.Owner and head trainer Andy is a warm and generous man as he is skilled and this is reflected in the safe family friendly environment encouraged in his gym and the high level of skill as a standard.

If you’re looking to learn self defence or just get fit or even start a career in fighting this is the gym for you! All the coaches are very supportive and attentive, they all have great personalities and are people you can look up to. They push you to become a better version of yourself and guide and support you along the way. Most importantly they make training fun and enjoyable, and everyone always leaves smiling! I promise you they will take care of you. :)
